Does that make us all weird ?!! We have viewed 2 so far, really liked one of them, tried not to waste time, were polite & didn't mislead sellers. We had doubts about viewing when ours hasn't sold but EA assured us that ours would sell quickly & to go view some, so we have ... but now we really like one we've seen & so are hoping for quick sale. Hmm ...

Hi "Weird" Trigger
To be kind I have seen so many times where the viewers came out of somewhere, wanted the sellers to know they were really really keen but after they had slept on it had changed their mind. Hard telling the sellers though that yesterdays 'Dead Cert' is todays 'No Goer'.
Not a critism at all as it is easy to get carried away, at the point of viewing, and then the cold facts go through your mind - so by the next morning!!!!!A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. Well, I guess I have been weird in my time, going back to at least half a dozen properties for a second viewing, asking millions of questions and then not following through.
It's partly about confidence. Often you like a house, but something about the location isn't right, or vice versa, so you go back, try to see ways round the problem, draw a blank, then withdraw gracefully from the scene.
I think it's also about compromise. With the house I'm buying, I came away the first time thinking it was good value, but not really what I'd been seeking. Nevertheless, after thinking, I realised that the down-sides were relatively minor ones, and the true strengths of the property began to shine through.
It probably takes a day or two to forget preconceptions and see what's on offer clearly, but folk who rush from one place to another rarely do that. Too many of our viewers made snap judgements, while the ones who bought turned our office into a swish bedroom, instead of complaining that the house was 'bottom heavy.'
If I've learned anything about all the viewings I've done, it's simply 'think outside of the box,' especially if theres a very well imagined 'perfect' place sitting inside it.0 -

Hi all
I had 2 viewings booked for this week, one never showed up and the other has cancelled
I suspect I am going to be waiting quite a while!0 -
:mad:how annoying, hope you get some more viewings soon.Pawpurrs x0

Thanks Pawpurrs, it's frustrating as I found a lovely house that I want but they won't accept an offer from me until I have mine under offer
understandable I guess!

Good luck pawpurrs (and everyone else who has viewings today!) enjoy your day out, good to have a break from the house mrket.
After to debacle of the first buyers pulling out at last minute, we are still
waiting, though hopeful, that the second lot are going to come through ok. They have had survey nearly two weeks ago which was good, now waiting for their mortgage offer - seems never ending.. hope we don't lose
the apartment we are after.

Bit of a problem. To put it bluntly. My new home does not feel like home and I am feeling rather low/depressed at the moment and I don't know why. Has this happened to any of you just after you have moved house? I am worried that it won't go away. What can I do to make myself feel better?0
