Feedback from viewers adored the house, considering it, have indicated a price, but its waaayyyyyyy under anything we could or would accept. No more viewings booked in at the moment.

Buyers from the south-east are very common in West Wales too, where they have the advantage of lower prices, but in Deb'n they speak the right lingo (well sort-of!);)

If sales have picked-up in Commuterland, then some will soon translate into purchases in the Westcountry from those leaving the rat race. Certainly, my Rightmove saved properties show a lot going under offer, and although that's stuff with land, not everyone wants a field as well as a house!

Most of the viewers we've had so far have been people wanting a holiday home down here or people adding to their portfolio of holiday lets. It seems people with extra cash are getting it out of the bank and putting it into property, any bargains or decent properties are being snapped up round our way, I must stop looking as everything I like keeps going under offer.

Whoops! Sorry, one of them may have been me!

If it's any consolation, I still think there will be more of what you're looking for at more 'reasonable' prices come the autumn. As with the property I'm buying, people sometimes need to sell in order to move their lives along at a particular point in time, without worrying about market conditions. And there's those who have already moved on to 'a better place' and who aren't that bothered either!

no news from me really - still no viewings

just got off the phone with EA who said to reduce by £2.5k next Monday which 'gives us a reason to remarket and promote'. Would've hoped they'd do that anyway but £2.5k is a relatively small drop (House is on at £160k) so will follow his advice.

With a bit of luck things will pick up this week. A lot of people were on holiday last week with half term etc so fingers crossed....

It's absolutely dead here in Lancs here too; nothing is happening. I've not had a viewer for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I've made a promise to myself not to get stressed about it though; what will be will be!

On a happier note; the weather is fab and we're just back from a long weekend's camping in Hunstanton with the 6 year old niece. It was an extravaganza of ice creams and sandcastle building!

Has anyone got any good news to report????
