Everybody - I have had an offer on my house - full asking price. Only problem is they want me out in 6 weeks. So thanks for all your advice. Changing estate agents was the best move for me - sold within a month after 2 viewings. Any further advice on my mountain of a forthcoming task will be gratefully recieved. Also can anyone suggest an area within commuting distance of the west of glasgow that i can look for a house,Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

Excellent news and it just goes to show you don't need hundreds of viewers just the one. The one that buys.:jA retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0 -
:T:T:T Congratulation 54druids.
I am not feeling so cheery. I got news today from our buyer that they are on holiday the week our seller wanted to complete and also for the week after. The week after that is half term so I cannot move then which takes us up to the beginning of November.
I think I am going to go slightly made in the intervening period. I thought this should have been easy with only the house we are buying and the one we are selling involved.0 -
Get a friend or relative to look after the kids so you can get on with it and move at half term.0

Congratulations 54druids!
Did have a viewing booked tonight (1st one since going on market) at 5.30. Phoned HouseNetwork at 6.10 who tracked down the viewer and said she was running behind and coud we make it 7.30? So put dinner on hold, kept cat locked in a bedroom and eagerly waited...and waited...
I guess she's not coming now, just wish she'd had the decency to let us know!
Rant over - guess it's just something I've got to get used to!

Just a quick one from me got loads to do, so i haven't read through the previous posts but i need to tell you .......
Were exchanging contracts TODAY !!!! omg i thought this day was never going to happen.
The door issue was solved by a legal note attached to the deeds to say my buyers are aware that the doors are missing and that due to this the conservatory doesn't meet building regs but are happy to continue anyway.
We nearly exchanged yesterday but our buyers sol had a power cut grrrrr.
Fingers crossed for today
Good luck everyoneMad mum to 4, boy 17, boy 10, boy 10 and girl 7

Staying where we are now for the duration of the half term would be OK as this is where all our friends are. If we move the tuesday after half term then I'll only have done 1 extra days commute (compared with moving in half term). What I want is to move before half term to end the school run commute.
Thats fine, you choice of course but Im sorry you dont trust anyone enough to get support from them.
I hope you get the date you want, how will you fiit the removal van in around the school run?0
