Hi jaffacat - few comments on the pics...
your huse looks very odd next to the stoneclad ones, can you get a picture of just the front of *your* house without next door in it?
the door in the room with blue sofas seems to be in an odd place, might change the angle here
the table in the kitchen is totally crammed into the corner which makes you wonder if the kitchen is in fact tiny! plus, right beside the fridge. I'd bring it out and have it more obviously 'set' so it's clear you *do* have room to sit down!
I'd replace the duvet cover with circles with something more neutral and whack a few velcet cushions on it to posh it up. On my PC the carpet looks 'lined' at the foot of the bed - a handy rug will hide that!
what is the strange yellow square thing by the shed?
garden looks well keot.
Overall in nice nick, but your house dressing and pics aren't doing ti justice I think.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Hi
Thanks for the comments, my house is the stone clad house on the end! I know not everyones choice.
The strange yellow square thing (I think what you are asking about) is the kids plastic playhouse.
Good idea re the bedroom with the rug & duvet cover - will get one this weekend.
Good point re kitchen aswell - it is huge the dinning area so your right should make use of the space to show how big it is.
Thanks again for the feedback, really do appreciate it. Will get them back next week to get some new piccies done.....

stone cladding doesn't put me up nor down, it just looks odd next to a property that isn't :-) So I'd change the piccie to lure people in, then wow them with your interior.Debt free 4th April 2007.

No news this end :embarasse
Our house has been on the market for 3 weeks and we haven't had a single viewing. We were due our first viewers last Tuesday, but they cancelled

Hi Jaffacat
I agree about the kitchen table, it needs to look like it fits.Something that hasn't been mentioned is the gate. It is really blue-it wouldn't take long or cost much to paint it a more traditional black. There is a lot of bright blue in the house which although most of it will go when you move it does make it look a bit "alternative". Can you buy/borrow some different neutral pieces?0 -
hi jaffacat - i agree with Emmzi and shirlgirl - though i'd also add that the first garden photo makes it look small, and the second makes it look big. perhaps you could add 2 garden chairs to the end to of the garden to help show the perspective? we've a long thin garden and did that successfully - the chairs look smaller than you'd think, thus showing the garden is actually long, and not just small.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. i'm really surprised and pleased. we asked the estate agents (agent C if you've read the other post) to sell our house on wednesday, and thursday eve they brought some people round to view! that's really quick isn't it??
they only came today (friday) to take the photos! so they must have said nice things about our house to persuade people to come without seeing anything first. that makes me smile.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Sue
Hi Sue, well, here's my thoughts:
- love your house! it's really big and if it were down our way, we'd snap it up!the kitchen and bathroom are great, and the space would be fab. however, i can see a coupple of things that would make the photos look a little more 'appealing' to those with less imagination to see themselves there instead of you.
- are you able to show a back garden photo? i really like the front terrace, but people may assume it's the back garden and therefore think it's really child unfriendly with the low wall and road.
- perhaps switch the child duvet for a neutral any-age one
- perhaps switch the pink flower duvet in the purple room for a neutral unpatterned one - i like bold colours, but it may be offputting to the beige-nation. while you may not want to paint over the purple wall paper, changing the duvet would calm the room down a bit.
- are you able to fit a door on the landing to conform with regs?
good luck!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

hi,
put our house on the market 4 weeks ago, week 1 have 4 viewings (no one made any bad comments just not for them although 1 lady is interested but she not sold her house yet). Reduced the price by £7,500 as the last 3 weeks rightmove report showed 100 people looked at our property in detail from rightmove search yet no more viewings!
Cant explain it (estate agents) so will leave it for a few weeks at the reduced price.
Feel bit fed up with the housing market, we live in Oxford so thought we would sell maybe im expecting too much (in 4 weeks)
Your thoughts!
how can you tel how many people have looked at your listing on rightmove?
your house looks fine.. agree with the comments about moving the table out a bit in the kitchen... the 'yellow' house in the garden doesnt bother me.. good luck!0
