i put in a claim with kerobo in march and have thus far been satisfied as this morning i have received a letter telling me to stop payments to mbna cc and that debt is unenforceable. this seems ok doesn't it?
they have written to mbna of course to inform them of this and i am to forward all correspondence to Kerobo.

So Kerobo have written to tell you to stop payments to your credit card??? I would say this is definately not correct and if you could actually put the wording of their letter on site I am sure others would agree.

I am actually worried for you if this has happened and any firm that actually "tells" you to stop making payments on finance without the courts agreeing to something (which I really doubt has happened since March - well since forever TBH!!!) wants striking off and taking to court themselves. They are putting you at risk so it would seem here.
  • I too hve also had a letter telling me the one of my cards they audited for me is 'unenforcable'. Have been reading alot of 'negative' things about this company and I am very worried now, paid them nearly £1500 to 'audit' two of my cards, wrote to the Ministry of Justice about this company and I am now off to the Citizens Advice about this.

What they mean is that they believe its unenforceable. However, given the very low success rates since the December court rulings and the way lenders are now more willing to fight since then, you are right to be cautious.

To be honest, I cant believe you have paid £1500 on something with a less than 1 in 10 chance of success.

I hope you are still paying your credit cards off even though they state they are unenfoceable. You are still liable for the payments regardless until it goes to court and win which has a very slim chance of any success anyway and up to yet no-one has actually reported this happening. I would be worried if I were you!!!
  • FYI all - Kerobo Ltd's authorisation with the Ministry of Justice was suspended on 28/05/10. Anyone who has got a 'claim' through them should take a look at the Ministry of Justice Website (Claimsregulation.gov.uk)

I have recently been talking to a company call Kerobo Claims Ltd who have told me that after looking at my details they believe that they can have a loan and a credit card cancelled as they have been missold. Has anyone heard of this company, are they a genuine claims company or just a scam outfit? They give their address as Ravenstone House, Britannia Road, Sale.

    Hi,
Don't do it! i did and now they owe me over a £1000 they have also had their licence suspended from the MOJ for not processing claims and not issuing people a refund.

I am using them currently and believe that I have been ripped off. I looked up all the websites that they pointed me to, that said that they are regulated and so on - and I handed over my money - three months ago.

Since then, I can never get to speak to the same person; when I call back, that person is always busy; when I email, they dont reply or they reply that they are working on it.

Then I pleaded and begged and threatened to no avail. Yesterday I checked the regulation thing again and they have been suspended.

They took precious money off me at a time when I have very little to spare. I feel like such an idiot to try and do this, to cut the last corner off of a debt I was nearly finished paying. Now I have to pay the debt anyway and I forked out £616 to Kerobo Claims. *sob*

    Warning: don't do it!!!

Hi there how did you pay them. Was it by Credit Card. If so I understand that people have been able to claim the cost back.

    hey guys,

I have been reading your threads and im afraid it's bad news. I used to work for atm solicitors the in house legal team which deals with your claims after there are passed from Kerobo/knights bridge/connect your claims have little prospects of success this is namely due to the fact that they have been no judgments as it is a new area of law. In addition the judgements which we have had are all in the lenders favour.

most cases sit there until some one complains then work is done on it due to the sheer volume of claims..... my advice is if a service requires you to pay upfront for a service you haven't received don't do it use your head translate it into any other context which you may understand and don't get sucked in. There are various templates which are available for you to draft letters, also go to your CAB! don't do this your debts cannot be reduced this way.....it is a legally binding contract between you and a bank the odds are it is enforceable. no cases have been decided in favour of the consumer as yet..... carey v mcguffic stated that a bank can produce a reconsitituted copy of your agreement not the original, in addition another case in April 2010 stated that interest is not defined in the legislation and it is not the Courts job to fill in the gaps therefore a lender can work out interst by any method! etc if you have a PPI claim there much easier the caselaw is established however again you can reclaim by yourself you don't need a law firm to do this.

another firm you should be aware of is legal direct this firm is ran by Carl Wright who was responsible for consumer credit litigation solicitors who were shut down by the SRA.

hope this helps guys! good luck
