  • i have also had dealings with roman when you can hold of him that is! he promised me a refund and i phoned every other day for 3 weeks and every time i was told it would show up on my account in the next couple of days in the end i was told i wouldnt be getting a refund!!!!! because i have breaches in my agreement (so even more lies) i explained his salesman dean archer had lied to me and roman just tried to make up more excusses if i lived closer i would go to there office like another chap on here did its a waste of time trying to speak to them on the phone. i have now contacted the moj and am looking in to taking them to a small claims court to get my money back. it seems like the only thing this company is inerested in is your money!! and again i warn anyone thinking of using this company to do a google search first and check out there bad feedback!
  • Kerobo is TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! They are profiteers, looking to make as much money as they possibly can.

I filled out some information online to see what they were all about. When i sent the information my computer crashed, and literally 1 minute later, i got a call back from one of their 'advisors' (which i use in the loosest sense of the word)

I was told that 2 credit cards i had could be null and void if their 'team' of solicitors deemed that the original credit agreement was not held. The cost of this was, i was told, £495. So i asked them to send me through the information online, which arrived in the form of 2 application forms, basically giving them the right to act on your behalf, in claiming back the monies on the cards.

In the meantime, both my credit cards were charged £495 + 10% of the debt on the card + VAT - EACH, totaling nearly £2500!!!! This was done without my authorization. Upon reading into the terms and conditions in their pack, i was not happy to proceed, as it is pure win win for these guys. Even a team of barristers doesn't charge this kind of money, and i have since learned that you can do this yourself for free.

I rang them back and told them i was unhappy to proceed and wanted a full refund immediately. There then ensued a 10 minute persuasion sales talk from the guy on the phone, who was telling me that either way i dont lose this money and even if there isn't a case i get my money back, and if i win then i don't have to pay the card.

I have since learned that there is no such thing as a free lunch. It took these cowboys 6 weeks to pay my money back. I sent dozens of emails which were ignored. On speaking to managers on the phone, i was made promises that i would be phoned back. When i phoned back the person i needed to deal with was 'on the other line and will call you back' and never did. Or 'they are out at lunch and will call you when they get back' This went on and on. Despite having signed NO paperwork, or given my authority for them to act on my behalf, they were holding my money, and were showing no signs of giving it back.

I finally contacted the ministry of justice, who told me that i had a case against them under the 'authorized persons act', as they had taken far in excess from the cards, than was explained. They advised me to write to them and send it recorded delivery. I told Kerobo what i had been told - and surprise surprise - i heard nothing back.

It took another letter threatening action in the county courts to recoup the money that got a response from them, and after 6 weeks, they sent me a cheque for the money.

Since then, i have found another charge on one of my cards, under a different name for £99. I phoned my card provider and they told me that it was Kerobo. This was made a week ago, while i was trying to get money back from them, despite having signed no authority for them to take money, or act on my behalf. Strangely just having phoned them, no-one is available to take my call at the moment and 'someone will call you back'

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry you had all this Gareth. Thank you for posting this up so that people get a good picture of these and other Claims Companies. Hope you get the rest of your money back quickly.

  • Further to my last post,

Just spoke to Kerobo, and the further charge on my card was via a company pertaining to be one of their holding companies - called CLEARUKCREDITLTD - they have told me that their firewall has been breached and that this company is creaming £99 off peoples cards, and that they are FRAUDULENT transactions!

Not only are these guys fleecing money from anyone that contacts them, but their system is not protected adequately to prevent them from fraudsters accessing the personal accounts of credit cards they hold in their database - NEED I SAY MORE!???
  • Anyone needing advise on this - best people to talk to - aside from information here is the Ministry of Justice claims department - they can be contacted on 0845 450 6858

The best advise i can give is send written correspondence to them, as that way there is a paper trail that has to be followed up, unlike an email or phone call. Send it recorded delivery and give them a deadline of about a week to make a refund, otherwise you will go directly through the county courts to claim back the money.

I was at an advantage, as i didn't enter into the claim process, or sign any paperwork and just needed a plain and simple refund. Either way the ministry of justice will be the people to chat to.

As mentioned above, if you are calling Kerobo on the 0845 number the alternative (and much cheaper number) i got was 0161 968 8051.

    Good luck!
  • Hello everyone,
Like everyone else on here, I stupidly paid over about £500 to kerobo. I was told that my account would be audited by the solicitors and then if they didn’t think that I had a chance I would get a full refund.
This went on for a few months and nothing happened. Through various emails I have had with the solicitors dealing with my case I have found out that not only have I been given mis leading information and wrong information at the time of the sale, but the audit on my account was not done until 4 months after I paid? How on earth can that be?
This has made me think that what this company and sales person at the time have done is boarder line fraud. From looking at the fraud act 2006 under section 2, surly I was deceived? The sales person has intended to make a gain for himself and this has also resulted in a loss to me?
What is people’s thoughts on this?
    Cheers

Lots would agree with you here in the case of fraud. Have you complained to MOJ about them. If there enough complaints then the company will get investigated like with Cartel.

Also as your audit was not done for 4 months after you had paid did it say you actually had a case and also is the solicitor still acting for you?

Sorry, but if you had just given the £500 to the people you had borrowed money from then all this would have been avoided
