ow, Section 75, I paid Kerobo by credit card and I understand that there is a consequential loss section and this interests me as I would like to get back the losses that I have had over and above the credit card payment. Anybody tried this?
If you were trying to claim against the credit card provider, according to recent posts, it can be considered fraud if you use the same credit card to pay for the fees of the claims company. I don't know how true that is or not. Just repeating what someone else has posted before.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks Dunstonh, but I used a separate valid card to pay the fee. Now I am interested in the consequential losses, and I am sure that there are others as well who would like to see the possibility. In the meantime, I am going to see just what losses there were.0

i was contacted by kerobo claims in february 2010 where i paid them almost £600 to clear my debts, after a couple of months i was told i didn't have a claim against my loan but may have a claim on the PPI. since then i have made many calls and emails only to get no reply from them, i have written to them twice after finding out from the CAB that they have 2 addresses! I am still waiting for my refund and its been almost 3 weeks since my last letter to them!
any advice please?0 -
I too have paid Kerobo over £500 to "write off my credit card debt due to my credit card company being in breach of agreement" their words, not mine. I too have written and emailed demanding my money back but with no reply. I DID pay part of their fee with the credit card I was complaining too, again, Kerobo told me to do this. Now, after reading all this it seems that money has gone. I would be grateful for any advice on any further action.0

They looked at my credit card agreement and told me the debt was unenforceable and then said that I must tell the credit card company to deal with them and not me, therefore my credit card company have closed the complaint. They have not responded to my credit card company or me.0

Just checked the smallprint - it says they will use reasonable endeavours to persue the claim and to use reasonable endeavours to keep me informed. Also to notify me promptly and in writing if they decide not to pursue the claim. They have not done any of this so surely they ar in breach of contract0

Kerobo's authorisation has been cancelled by the Ministry of justice (MoJ). The MoJ have issued a statement to all customers of kerobo here https://www.claimsregulation.gov.uk/news.aspx#KeroboWe've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0

Thanks for posting that Common Sense 2.
Here is the statement from MOJ. Lets hope its the start of the closing down of many rogue companies.

Its interesting to read some of the warnings on that page.
Such as the one that when cold calling, the claims company should not take payment from the potential client until they have issued a range of information in writing first and allowed a reasonable time to read it.
Or that cold calling where legal action may be required is not allowed. So, all those telephone calls about unenforceable credit must be in breach of the MoJ rules as they will nearly always require legal action.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
