Sorry 3... it was pages back, and i get confused! My mum is going to do childcare for 1 day, and MIL MIGHT do another day (don't know yet...) so I'll only be paying for 1 or 2 days. I think if I was paying for childcare on all 3 days it wouldn't really be worth going back once I factor in petrol as well. (75 miles a day. Will be looking for something closer to home, but in this climate I expect I will be stuck where I am for a while) I earn around £10 an hour, which isn't exactly a bad wage, but the tax man takes his cut, and then if i'm paying £4 or so an hour (for more hours than I'll be working, seeing as I work an hour drive away) that doesn't leave a great deal to spend on the bills. If I was earning any less it definitely wouldn't be worth it.

i wanted to ask you all my lo is 2yr 3mnth old now and still in a cot she likes it in there and never tries to climb out so im wondering when i should move her to a bed ?
Definitely leave her, Chris suddenly started hopping out of his cot at 2yrs 3 mths.
He was a bit funny about sleeping with the sides off for about 3 nights (he kept crying and saying its not safe - bless!) but has been fine ever since :D

Down side of bed is that if they don't want to stay in then they just get out - booo!:p
Upside is in a morning they can come to you/ entertain themselves for a bit without waking you :T Chris comes in puts TV on and gets in bed with me for about 15-30mins so I wake up gradually and am much nicer mummy for it ;) I always hated going to get him in a morning when I just wanted 5 more mins

    hi all,

feelie - so sorry to hear about what you are going through. i hope you come to a decision that is right for you. look after yourself.

mfd - glad your day went well. i am dreading going back to work at the end of my maternity leave and i never thought i would feel like that. i just dread the thought of leaving my little girl. i thought about trying to stay off until the new year but it would of course be unpaid then.

bought my little girl a glow worm today for being brave having her injections yesterday. why dont they look like they used to when i was a little girl???

Just popped back to let you know that I am going away for a few days. We are off to Bluestone in Wales (a bit like Centerparcs) so Benjamin will be treated to his first time swimming!!
