I bought him a RD box-set for christmas - I buy every kid I know a book every christmas...I am the mad book-buying lady LOL!!

I am currently throwing the redhouse and book people catalogues away til I finish my maternity leave ;)
I love childrens books, I've saved all my faves for my boys ;) My Mum is the major influence in that respect she reads a novel every week! Chris already has about 50 books that she's bought him, the ones I've saved him and another 50ish I've bought since he arrived - we could open our own library:rotfl:

I've merged my facebook list with the others I was pm'd - so it should be a pretty much 'everyone' list now.
If anyone wants it i'll send it through facebook - or can I post it as a message on our facebook page? Would that be private for just us members to see?
yes you could put it in the group and only members will see it :)

    hi ladies,

again, i can't thank anyone, not sure what is going on there.

i have one naughty little girl. it was gone 11pm before i got her down to sleep. overtired again. she had a bit of a nap around 9pm (had tried to get her off to sleep earlier as she was tired). managed to get her off to sleep by laying down in bed together as we do early morning. i moved her to her crib (onto her wedge and she didn't wake .. woo hoo).

she hasn't had a feed since 8.30ish so i guess she will be waking early hours. she went down at about 11.30pm last night and slept through to 6.30am this morning.

still struggling to get my milk supply back up. i got 45ml tonight, but i only managed to express one side last night so that might have somethign to do with it. trying to express during the day but my little one is being so clingy at the minute that she will moan if she's in her bouncy chair or on the floor with her toys.

off to search ebay for a few things and to check argos out.

am - massive hugs for you. i to have had thoughts that my little one doens't love me but i think it's becuase they know they can push us and we think like that. we are all here for you. loved your tip about smirnoff on predictive text .. spooky.

    take care all

careful with fruit juice, sometimes it can go straight through them, worst is orange.
Edgar got quite grumpy last week when we ran out of apple & elderflower and I was drinking mostly water or a bit of cola :p

oh and I'm soo not eating KFC while BFing!! It usually gives me wiffy bottom burps :o and it had the same affect on Ed poor thing was in lots of pain :(

  • It's a tough thing to try to get the right balance of work and home time with your kids. We have one little boy who is now two and didn't really have much choice in the matter. Myself and my wife both work to make ends meet and have to put our son in nursery 4 days a week. Ideally we would have liked my wife to work less and have more time at home with our son but we just cannot manage it financially right now. I would suggest that as they are only young once, if you can make ends meet without having to go back to work then do so. Otherwise, try to come to some arrangement with your work if possible to work part time and have as much time at home as you can afford.

Ribena had a bad effect on Rhys when he was really little, but Lucozade was okay. They were the only two things I drank when staying in hospital.

Do babies smell of garlic if we eat it? Think I've knocked Rhys out with my garlic breath tonight! :o

Aww 3 does it usually have adverse affects with you?

Ribena is the work of the devil!! My silly Mum lets Chris have it even though I've repeatedly told her I don't want him to have it and then pointed out to her it says on the bottle "Not suitable for Children under 3years"!!!! She also lets him have 'just a little bit' of Dr Pepper  This from the woman who didn't allow me to have fizzy pop (excluding our anual trip to maccy d's) until I was about 10

not sure about garlic but I love the stuff :D

just wait he'll make up for it when hes older with ... mummy mummy mummy mummy :rotfl:
:rotfl: this too shall pass, I don't think anyone has said "Muuuumy" in that sing song voice which used to go right through me for several years now. Which is sad, in a way. I remember my mum saying she was going to change her name, and I understood why! :rotfl:

In the juniors, they also get a project per term,
 projects! Hated them, both as a child and as a mum. Fortunately DS3 now just gets on with stuff, and he has even VOLUNTEERED to do an extended essay which doesn't go towards his A2 exams!
