She used to yell when I vacced when she was tiny so I used to do it when she was asleep at night or before I picked her up from the childminders when I went back to work, I thought she would grow out of it and she is better, she still doesn't like it but now I can say go up to your room if you don't like it!
We used to have tears and nightmares for days if she saw the streetsweeper ones that run along the pavement/road edges!
What an imagination Millie must haveis she scared of being sucked up? I am amazed that she makes the link between your little vac and the big one!! How fascinating...
Aside from the logistical challenge, I bet that would really hurt:eek:

Mrs Moc - yes you HAVE to sterilise them - new does NOT mean clean! They will more than likely have loads of production dust on them and you do NOT want baby getting that...
As mentioned - boil in a pan for 5 mins should do itas a one off - don't do it too often as it can actually mess up the plastic

Wow Fritha, Celia is quite the talker for one so young!
Elijah (nearly 2 months older) usually says "g'nana" when confronted with a banana, and says "Cup! Cup! Cup!" when excited about a cup, but also keys, or cars
Awww, bless Elijah :-) I really do think Celia is just making random noises/noises she's heard us make I'd be surprised if she was exceptionally bright she's currently headbutting my leg because she crawled into it! She just has superb comedy timing!I have a new breast pump, but no steriliser yet, I've just read the instructions and the parts need sterilised first, is this really necessary.
My logic is that my boobs aren't being sterilised and they're ok! I can understand used bottles being sterilised, but these are new parts. Its unlikely I can get a steriliser before the morning.
I'd say if you're going to keep it then yes, but if you're just going to chuck away then no. You could always boil it for 10 minutes in lieu of a proper steriliser? Have a read of this, it says how to boil to sterilise :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

Mrs Moc - If you don't want to boil up in a pan for 5 mins then soaking them in milton/water for approx 15mins will do it too - although I have to confess I hate the smell of milton. It just doesn't smell clean to me IYKWIM!!!!

I have graduated to 'Mummy'!. No 'Mama' anymore although I think I miss it a little!
My sister and Mum have taken the children to a farm today but they had only been gone 20mins when the rain started . They have sent me mobile pics though and they are having fun......indoors :rotfl:.

I hate the English education system - I still don't understand it!
Anyway, discovered at the weekend that I should have heard something months ago from the pre school I want DS to go to. Went to it today, they've no record of him (but we gave them his details last year?!), but have places so can take DS for his 2 sessions a week in September. I then went to his nursery and confirmed they can take him there and pick him up again. I will be paying for the nursery AND the preschool...
In the new year I then have to sort out the most advantageous way of working his 15 hours over 2 placements.

I seem to be running into BF problems, everything had been going fine, but this last 2 days, its like the abilitly to latch on has disappeared. It seems there is so much milk coming out and making booby wet, she cant get a grip on it anymore - cue lots and lots of repositioning and me sitting like a statue when I finally get latched on properly, any suggestions on what im doing wrong or how to fix this would be really appreciatted.
