I'll be interested in the answer too; OH went to one (in California though...) and is really keen that Elijah does. I dunno much about them.

I thought they only got 12.5 hours?
Really must but Chris's name down for his free place, after actually finding somewhere to send him :undecided

Nursery told me it's 15 hours in this area?(Just checked on our council website and it is 15 hours ) It will be going up for everybody sometime next year anyway:

The pre-school is attached to the school I want DS to go to - but it's a church school and I'm not in the catchment. It's just under a mile away, and some of the other children on the street go it, so I live in hope...

Aimee was scared of the hoover when she was a baby too, I just used to do it when she was in bed... But then there was never as much to hoover then as there is now for some reason... She's still not keen but tends to just jump up on the sofa or go off upstairs until I'm done... Out of habit, I just haven't hoovered when Caitlyn has been around, I've done it when she's been upstairs with hubby...

Went to a new baby group today, I'd forgotten how daunting it is trying to fit yourself into a group of people who already know each other but it was OK... I didn't go till later on because I didn't know how many people would be there but it was quite busy so I might go a bit earlier next week... Bag me a good space on the carpet ;)

Caitlyn's just gone asleep enough for me to put her down so need to go and cook Aimee's tea before she moans my ears off!

(And Sami, that quote was the biggest pile of crap I've ever read... MFD, my boobs are mine, not Caitlyn's or hubbys... MINE!!! Or they will be again when she's finished with them anyway...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

worst thing is we have the same carpet on the stairs, landing and one bedroom so as you go up stairs the carpet gradually gets less grey and more beige :p
We were thinking of going halves with Mum, hiring one to clean our lounges :D
hire a rug doctor, they're smaller and easier and work just as well if not better :D and you can hire the small version for about £20! bargain! we did it to clean our carpets after we moved out of the old flat and it worked really well.

The school I want to send Chris to is just under 5miles away so I want to get him in a nursery near to it so he can make friends, I have no idea if he'll get in, although I'm not averse to lying about our address as my Nan and MIL both live in the catchment area and a family friend is the curet of the church it's attached to ;)

    What annoys me tho is
If your child is born between: 1 January and 31 March

They are eligible for a free place from: 1 April following their third birthday until statutory school age

Chris's Birthday is 13th Jan so he has to wait aaaagges for his place!

Mrs M I too have had problems with 'slippery nips' the last few days! I have been trying to build up my milk supply by expressing between feeds so dont know if thats related. I have been using her muslin to dry off and have kept her to one breast until it gets too slippery before moving to the other nice dry one for a bit. Gosh, dont I sound attractive!

I am trying to get Leila to go to bed a bit earlier and start off something of a bedtime routine. I know she's only 4 weeks but she's very bright!!

Me and OH generally stay up until about 3/4am. We have always stayed up together since we met nearly 10 years ago because we are both night owls (I am one of those people that shops at Asda at 2am) and like to prolong the time we spend together because of working long hours etc. We get up at 6:30am on a work day and can both survive on very little sleep. We always used to stay in bed till about 2pm on a Saturday/Sunday and that set us up for the week.

Anyway, I have realised that Leila is catching on to this and she therefore sleeps from about 8pm till 11pm/12am and then she stays up until about 2:00am or even 3am as she seems to think this is play time. It doesnt help that we have been letting her drop off in the sitting room with us and letting her sleep on the other end of the sofa. I think we are confusing her about the difference between night and day.

The last few nights I have been taking her to the bedroom and turning lights off for her last feed and I am trying to gradually bring her bedtime forward. She went to sleep at 1:30am today and slept through until 7:10am.

Is there anything else I should be trying to do at this stage? xx
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j
