    Well done Rhys :) :T:T:T

Getting baby down to sleep didn't work, but she is happily playing on the floor. I could really have done with a nap myself, so I'm sat here like a zombie... have 10001 things I should be doing, but I don't have enough energy to move. Maybe I can muster up enough to go find some chocolate?

funny you should say that - I'm hiring the carpet cleaner tomorrow - mum is coming over for the day to babysit so I can rediscover my cream carpet:T
worst thing is we have the same carpet on the stairs, landing and one bedroom so as you go up stairs the carpet gradually gets less grey and more beige :p
We were thinking of going halves with Mum, hiring one to clean our lounges :D

All done, looks fab :D Just need to relocate the hoover from the spare room and we'll be sorted.

    Update on the cot situation..
    1. The cotbed has arrived, but mattress is to follow.
    2. Still holding out hope on the travel cot which is due sometime today.
    3. Have had an email from the seller of the crib. They say they should (but can't promise) have the crib in from their supplier today but can't guarantee it will be with us tomorrow. They are offering me £10 off the order (originally £95) and delivery ASAP, or to cancel and refund the order today. I do really want that crib and it's out of stock in a lot of other places, but is £10 enough? Mum suggested I look for something else for £15 and "suggest" they throw that in instead of the refund but they are a furniture seller, not a small baby items seller, so that won't work.. Think I'd just best accept and get on with it! :o What do you think??

Ohh, added to this, my mobile battery died then both cordless phones have died too! :( I know my mum is trying to phone me.. have taken to emailing her in the hope she's got her laptop on!

ETA: Oh, it worked - she has got her laptop on! Just emailed me to say the travel cot and bouncer has arrived and she's on her way back with them right now.. YAY, RHYS HAS SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP! :D

ladybird, it's always worrying when you can't find the energy to get chocolate - that's how I know I'm sleep deprived!

your LO usually sleeps well though doesn't she? fingers crossed its only a small blip :D

elle - if that's the crib you want then I'd say that's not a bad deal. Especially if it's not going to be too long till it arrives. If the travel cot doesn't turn up today then why not try:

a big carboard box, sides trimmed down, padded with blankets
in bed with you (or by himself during the day)
in the carrycot, lie flat part of the pram (not sure if you have one or not)

Great news all round Elle, you must be so excited :T:T

Well done to all the sleepy babies last night, long may it continue, glad the CIO is working so quickly Bruno, I remember how tough it can be but its so worth it in the end.

I seem to be running into BF problems, everything had been going fine, but this last 2 days, its like the abilitly to latch on has disappeared. It seems there is so much milk coming out and making booby wet, she cant get a grip on it anymore - cue lots and lots of repositioning and me sitting like a statue when I finally get latched on properly, any suggestions on what im doing wrong or how to fix this would be really appreciatted. TIA

If it helps with any non-sleeping babies Celia has never ever slept through in her entire nine and a half month life! We managed seven hours once but I think that was her Birthday present to me (it was on my birthday see)! She's done a few technical sleeping throughs (over 5 hours) but no actual evening to morning!

So to all the sleeping babies, many congratulations! Keep it up!

Feelie - just vacuum anyway...there are some things that can't be done to suit baby. Can you imagine having a 5 year old that still moans when you turn the hoover on? It does happen!!!

My 5 year old is still scared of the vac!

Oh and I forgot, hooray for the travel cot Elle!

Mrs M, could it be too full? (if it's rock hard you could try expressing some off?) Or too fast? I seem to recall Celia would fall of it was soggy when she was small, I spent a lot of time wiping it with a muslin!

I'm currently having interesting conversations with Celia:

    Me: Look! A tree!
    Celia: Look! A duck!

    Me: Look! A car!
    Celia: Look! A duck!

Celia (surveying her duck-free toys): duck! duck! duck! duxk! duck!
Me (presenting her with a duck): Look! A duck!
    Celia: no.

I've no doubt it's nonsense but it's funny!

Wow Fritha, Celia is quite the talker for one so young! :) Elijah (nearly 2 months older) usually says "g'nana" when confronted with a banana, and says "Cup! Cup! Cup!" when excited about a cup, but also keys, or cars :|;)

Congrats Elle, you've co-ordinated a massive amount of things on top of what would have been a full-time job anyway of caring for the tiny (but not as tiny as he was) one! Good luck tomorrow! :)
