Susan - was thinking of storing a bag in the fridge and warming in the bag instead of the bottle...
We have had problems where Benjamin won't take a bottle if he gets upset (although admittedly he has improved since then). I am away overnight next week with work and I am so nervous about leaving him. If we can manage it whilst I am here then I might calm down a bit.
....although if it goes wrong I will panic even more
Part of me wants to cancel and part of me knows that I need to go and that Benjamin will be fine.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
the sun is shining and OH is tring to finish my car so i can take it out
have spent the morning at a new scrappies here and it was great fun lol! its one of these clean places so i was happily going round taking bits off that i liked/wanted and OH thought it was hilarious seeing me in hard hat high vis vest and screwdriver in hand:P my face is red with the sun?
hope you are all enjoying the sunshine:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
MFD, our HV said there are two reasons they say not to microwave bottles, one is cos some dense people didnt shake afterwards and burned the babies mouths and the second is cos you're not meant to make them up in advance, so microwave as long as you shake well will be fine. thats what i do anyway, but only when OH isnt around cos i get lectured if he sees me do it :whistle:just make sure you take the lid off first or it might explode... i speak from experience :rotfl:Mummy to

Well Alexandra Rose is now officially registered :j
Pretty quick and painless I have to sayThen we stopped in the park on the way back to the car as she was grumping and basically wanting feeding - feeding went fine but she followed it up with an exploding bottom... cue mummy and daddy trying to change a nappy and undress a baby covered in poo... how she managed it I don't know but it leaked and got on her outfit and as we were only 5 mins from home I hadn't put spare clothes in the bag DOH
So she was mopped up and quickly wheeled to the car to come home bless her
Last night was pretty good - we all went to bed around midnight and she had a last feed before we went to sleep - didn't stir till about 5:30 - had a nappy change and a feed and was then asleep till 10 so pretty good! Just hoping we can manage to get her to accept the moses basket once we have established a sleeping pattern...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Finally - have you ever thought about how less stressful having a baby would be if you lived in a detatched house? :rotfl:
why would you think that?! we live in a detached house in middle of country and i'd wager it can be just as stressful as living in a semi in town! course theres a lot of room so when Oz is being a clingon clingy clingerson like today its good cos i can put him in the sunroom for 5 or 10 minutes and go and have a quick session of deep breathing to calm myself.
does anyone else have a 1yr old who is super super clingy - like I mean i cant even leave the room and he goes mental driving me crazy.:oDON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Microwaving bottles: is it EBM or formula you are needing to heat? If it's formula, had you thought of getting water to roughly the right temp then putting it in a flask, ready to mix? (BTW I know nothing of mixing formula so if you have to use boiling water to mix it then you'll have to forgive me!)Signature removed for peace of mind0

Am I the only person who has never had an exploding poo and necessary outfit change while out? I have taken a spare outfit with us everywhere for the last two years after reading all the stories of people being caught short but have never needed them.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
