Thanks for the ideas on shoes. I've tried everywhere online - they were only available at Next online to start with. I'm nervous about buying some I can't see properly as 'ivory' is not a standard colour. I've arranged to get hold of her dress in a couple of weeks, so I'll hoik that around Leeds when this baby arrives for something to do!
[snip]
Sami - we've had vests for Imogen from BhS (18-24mths) and Mothercare. I got her last lot in the sale, but they are definitely around. She's been in cut off vests since last autumn when we were getting ready for potty training, plus her real nappies always caused problems with getting them big enough without paying a premium for the properly designed ones. HTH
or try the wanted ads on gumtree
or do you have a next clearance outlet nearby?
or (I promise this is the last suggestion!) could she not have gold/silver shoes? I remember seeing some lovely gold sandals in clarks when we got Chris's last shoes
Thanks for vest help0 -
my friend had her baby - 2am this morning, she went herself - and a big bouncy boy - 10lb 8oz!!
That is almost 4 full lbs more than Chris weighed - how on earth do you get them out??:o
I don't get it and I know someone who had two 12lb babies vaginally.
It just seems impossible to me:rotfl:
Because when the baby is screaming his/her head off for hours in the middle of the night you worry about disturbing the neighbours.
Am I the only person who has never had an exploding poo and necessary outfit change while out? I have taken a spare outfit with us everywhere for the last two years after reading all the stories of people being caught short but have never needed them.I hate it when someone comes to look at either of them because you can hear every step they take!! I soo don't want neighbours
We're another one that has never had a major poo/nappy breach *touches wood* we do get wee leaks occasionally - usually when I don't have any spare clothes :rolleyes:0 -
Is it just me that feels faint at the thought of a baby this big?

How bad a neighbour are you that both sides have moved out??? Lol.
That's a lovely pic of Ellie. I've just realised that she's just a tiny bit older than Tom. I think I've seen the 2007 in your sig and presumed she was 2 :embarasse Obviously I can't work out the difference between December 2007 and January 2008! Actually she looks quite similar to Tom - they have exactly the same hairdo! Tom does need his cut though, it's a bit girly! I was hanging on to have it cut in Disneyworld but I think it's getting a bit too bad now.0 -

:eek:I agree Sami, it was bad enough with a 7lb 8 baby :eek:Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

:p:p
the end one has been empty since before we bought the place, its been done up really badly and is the size of a shoe box with the price tag of a palace so unsurprisingly no takers:rolleyes:
The other side is between us and the pub, the pub bought it of him because the guy that lived there did nothing but complain and start petitions again the pub (he worked funny hours - why buy a house next to a pub if you want to sleep during their noisy/busy periods?!?!) so that got rid of him causing them trouble, they have done it up and its only just gone up to let but I think it will be hard to get tenants as its a 3 bed family sort of home but I don't know many families that would want to live next to a pub and train station on a main road. If we'd have known I was gonna get pregnant so soon we probably wouldn't have bought this place. (and now its going to be really hard to sell for various reasons)
sorry bit of a rant about property there:o0 -

I have 2 fans in Katie's bedroom, one up high and one on the floor which helps keep the temperature down, she likes the noise as well! The windows are open as well.
Her room get stupid hot at this time of year as it gets the sun all afternoon!
I also don't open the blinds after her afternoon sleep as that also helps, they're thermal blackout ones.
Also when it gets silly hot in there she sleeps in just her nappy.

sorry bit of a rant about property there:o
I could rant about property for ages. We bought our house 14 years ago when I was young and stupid and didn't know any better. We now really need a bigger one but with OH's job now being on an ad hoc basis I can't see it happening any time soon. DS isn't very impressed at the idea but at some point Tom is going to have to move in with him.0 -

nad Archie is the clingy baby from hell too and now 18 mths is just starting to like other people. I do find now that he is more clingy if tired or hungry so he certainly keeps me on my toes.
Well it was 30 degrees here (down south) so Archie went to sleep (after half hr protest ) in just a nappy....cooler now though so will go and make sure he is nicely covered before I sleep....
on that note I'm thinking of getting him a baby/cot duvet now that he is growing out of gro bag size (and I think it's better than a sleeping bag in the summer as he can kick it off if he gets hot as he has just learned how to pull covers over himself I'm thinking he'll still be able to stay warm if needed) are there any bargains to be had anyone? I tried to get a set at the car booty last week but they wanted £8.00 quid for the set and that seemed a bit steep for second hand.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0
