does anyone know how often boots have a mega points weekend and when the next one's due?
I'm not certain but I think they tend to be associated with things like bank holidays.

Off to visit inlaws later. They aren't impressed by baby, he sleeps the whole time we are there. Despite being passed round and poked, he has never opened his eyes. Normally, he only has brief 20 minute naps during the day, as he sleeps at least 10 hours at night. Its because it is so warm there. He doesn't stir even when only wearing a vest. Any ideas? His Dad isn't that well, and I don't really want to ask them to turn the fire off!

I think when you've been through hell with sleepless nights-even getting up a couple of times is fanstastic! :o

Amen to that sister, the mums at my baby group were horror struck when I said Celia was iften up every two or three hours. And even more horror struck when I said that was a big improvement!

I figure they all get there in the end :-) Have a nice day in the sun Keely and I hope you get a better night tonight Bruno (and you Keely)

    advice please!

I think I've got food poisoning!

I just looked at the handwash and it doesn't say anti bacterial. My washing up liquid is anti bacterial tho, so should I wash my hands with that so I don't contaminate fergus' bottles etc?
    :o:D

Thanks for the ideas on shoes. I've tried everywhere online - they were only available at Next online to start with. I'm nervous about buying some I can't see properly as 'ivory' is not a standard colour. I've arranged to get hold of her dress in a couple of weeks, so I'll hoik that around Leeds when this baby arrives for something to do!

Imogen eventually crashed out about around 9.30pm and was up at 12.30am when she'd had a bad dream. Thought she might sleep in but she arrived in our room at 6.30am, bright as a button and declaring, "Time to be awake mummy, the sun's up!". Thanks for that.

She's currently upstairs on some enforced quiet time in her room (even if she doesn't nap I'd prefer she had a rest) and I'm off on my best mate's hen-night later on, hurrah! Not necessarily looking forward to the long train journey (around 3hrs Wakefield to Northampton) but should be great fun.

Sami - we've had vests for Imogen from BhS (18-24mths) and Mothercare. I got her last lot in the sale, but they are definitely around. She's been in cut off vests since last autumn when we were getting ready for potty training, plus her real nappies always caused problems with getting them big enough without paying a premium for the properly designed ones. I put Katie in unpoppered vest as soon as she decided she was potty training. I got them from Ethel Austin and Asda.

But in this weather she goes without a vest - well at the moment she is a nudey rudey as she is playing in her paddling pool.

Just had a mini panic as she has just been stung by a bee:eek: She picked it up out of the paddling pool where it was having a swim, it obviously didn't like being evicted.

No major harm done, just a thumb that's a bit red and warm to the touch.

  • The weather has definitely turned for the better, no more chill in the wind - yay :D

Benjamin has had a total of 30 minutes sleep since 9am...he is reasonably cheerful so I am not pushing it but he must be shattered! Might pop him in the pram and have a walk before hubby gets back with DSS, he might not be so cheerful when the boys are around being all excitable

I might see if hubby will do the 5.30am feed tomorrow morning, any tips for getting a bottle ready and warmed quickly? Benjamin is used to being picked up and put straight into bed and on the boob, I can see him going mad if he is kept waiting :D

Finally - have you ever thought about how less stressful having a baby would be if you lived in a detatched house? :rotfl:

You're not supposed to but on occasion we microwaved a bottle of EBM 10 seconds at a time to get it up to temperature quickly.

I have a friend who even in a detached house was worried people would report her to social services because of the baby crying.

On vests we actually use short sleeved T-shirts rather than vests since we've got so many of them. (We've had loads of clothes given through friends/other people's friends/freecycle.) If it's cold she wears a long and a short sleeved, if it's warm she wears just a longsleeved and occasionally if it's very hot she'll wear just a short sleeved.
