Happy birthday Nad. Hope you enjoy your evening.

Imogen's been really good today. We've got her sticker chart out again and she's responding really well. However, she is meant to go to bed and stay in bed, but I've just had to go up to her after she's been faffing for an hour  Apparently she and Upsy Daisy were having a picnic (with a towel we put down for the potty as the picnic blanket). Can't blame her for being awake - it's pretty much daylight in there even with the blackout linings

message to sami bee's OH, about the bedroom project :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T hoorah, well done!

sami, I kinda over-egged how well I knew you today, hope you don't mind... Went to join costco with my business account details and was making my mum have my 'spouse card'. We got a funny look from the woman on reception. So I had 2 options, pretend my mum was my life partner (she would not have coped well with this!) or the one I went for which was to assure her that her colleagues in the north had allowed it for 'my friend samantha and her mum'....:rotfl:
Then my mum's doing these massive stage whispers 'I've never heard of your friend samantha?'

Anyway they gave mum the members card, so thanks sami :)
OH did a sort of nod n wink when I told him what you wrote and added "If she wants anything doing... tell her to ask her husband" :p

You're welcome on the costco thing :rotfl:

We decided to put Alice in her ready bed for a few days so we could get her cot over to the new house since there's not anything left in her room to baby proof. Turns out we were wrong. The wallpaper next to her was coming loose and when OH went to get her up for the toilet before we went to bed last night he found loads of crumpled up bits of wallpaper. When I was putting her back to bed she pointed at it and said, "Wallpaper broken." so I took the opportunity to explain that she shouldn't "break" it and she seemd to understand so hopefully we won't have any repeat performances. The decoration isn't in great condition anyway (mouldy by the window, a few bits already come off and lots of bits peeling/not stuck on properly in the first place) so I reckon if I can get all the bits stuck back on it shouldn't be noticable.

Needless to say when we decorate her new room it will be painted and not wallpapered.

Susan - Chris does that with ANY bit of paper he sees
I tried to explain but all that achieved was that now once he's ripped a piece of a book/box/wall he brings it to me and says "Mummy I ruin it" *despairs*

When did you stop putting a vest on your LO? I understand if it's really hot no vest necessarily needed but I hate to see nappies hanging out above trousers?? Just a silly pet hate:eek:

Oh yes, I have to watch Alice with end papers in books because she thinks they're another page if they have even the tiniest bit she can get hold of.

We stopped at about 9 months but Alice was in 18-24 months so we couldn't have gone on much longer anyway. She always wears dresses though so we don't have the trouser problem.

Ds is still in a vest - although one or two days when the weather has been lovely recently I haven't bothered.

We had 3 time outs at tea time today- a record for him I think! He had spent all day at nursery and was obviously tired.
