Well we had a fairly good night
Roo wouldn't settle till about 2 after Dh had been trying for ages and I gave her another feed. Then she slept through till 5:30 - had a fresh nappy and another feed and slept till 11  I think what finally did it though was us surrendering to letting her sleep in our bed
She doesn't like being in the basket on her own so we've decided to let her co-sleep until we've got her in a fairly regular pattern - then we'll try to get her to transfer that to the basket.
She's been a bit grumpy today but has had 2 massive poos so putting it down to thatCurrently she's sleeping on Daddy's lap whilst he prepares himself to go and mow the lawn - it looks like a jungle!
Height - she's not been measured at all yet which did surprise me but apparently they don't do that round here till they're a bit olderNot that it bothers me to be honest
Can't stay - have to go tidy a bit - the hound returns in about an hour with her auntie and uncle (my mate and her hubby lol) from her holiday away whilst we've been settling in here at home with Roo - will be interesting to see what she says to the babyI know she came from a home with very young children so it's not totally new to her...

Aww, I want to join in with the length/height/weight conversations but can't because we've lost Imogen's red book! We were looking for it earlier in the week, but no joy and now the HV's coming in a fortnight to do my ante-natal and her 2.5yr check - arrgghhh!
I do know that she was 8lb 10oz and (I think) 61cm at birth. She's now nearly 2.5 and 92cm which is around the 91st centile I think? She weighs about 2st 2lb (also likes to stand on scales but ours are digital so if she doesn't stand still she doesn't get to see the numbers).
I'm breeding out my shortness. Dad is 5'8", mum is 5' dead. I'm 5'3" but DH is 6'1". Luckily she seems to have his height. According to the calculation in the red book (which took about 3 of us to figure out) she will get to around 5'6". If you double how tall she was at 2 (which is probably an old wives' tale, but anyway) she'll be more like 5'10". Anyway, I'm just pleased she'll have a shot at wearing 'normal' high street clothes instead of only shopping in the petite section or getting everything taken up like me.
Thanks for all the lovely comments. I was lucky enough to be on holiday when a team from Real People were looking for models for a before & after fashion shoot (hence the beach). Trust me, the before shot is much closer to real life, but oddly I don't have that one saved on my system. It was great fun to be preened by pros. I got free highlights, my make-up done and a free pair of trousers as a thank you. As I walked back to our appt to meet OH cars kept slowing down for men to ogle me - which hadn't happened before (or since!). Still, I felt good as I'd just got to target at Slimming World before we went on hol, so it was a nice treat. You'll see the real me in the pics I'll post when new baby arrives - both ends of the spectrum!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

yep, we're doing ok. fergie still being textbook baby, and very nice company
My only 'issue' at the mo is keeping on top of the nappy laundry (oh I so thought I'd never be that sort of woman!:rotfl:) as well as the clothes that get covered in sick/wee our clothes and fergs.
Cazscoob how on earth do you manage with 5, I think I'd just take up residence in the local laundrette!
I'm not always sure what to say when I pop on, I try to save up a few questions for you all and then pop up and surprise you!
feelie and AM and elle and rhys you have all been in my thoughts. Take care
message to sami bee's OH, about the bedroom project :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T hoorah, well done!
sami, I kinda over-egged how well I knew you today, hope you don't mind... Went to join costco with my business account details and was making my mum have my 'spouse card'. We got a funny look from the woman on reception. So I had 2 options, pretend my mum was my life partner (she would not have coped well with this!) or the one I went for which was to assure her that her colleagues in the north had allowed it for 'my friend samantha and her mum'....:rotfl:
Then my mum's doing these massive stage whispers 'I've never heard of your friend samantha?'
Anyway they gave mum the members card, so thanks sami

Weezl - I think the clingy stage is gradually fading...I am keeping out of the way whilst he has 'bonding' (read 'tv') time with daddy
He likes his Bumbo!! Although after 10 minutes or so he started to wobble a bit so we took him out of it. He is still trying to sit up all over the place though.
When I got a bottle out of the fridge tonight (the measly 2oz that I managed to express this morning) Benjamin got all excited and practically jumped out of his dads arms!! I am SO relieved that he is taking to it and is excited by his daddy feeding him - will make my life much easier when I leave him overnight next week _pale_please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Thing's are getting better thank you
My baby is officially long!! He's gone down in weight on the chart, but has got super long in length! He's lost some weight just by all his moving about i think. Got him weighed today and he's 19lb 7oz and 74cm long at 37 weeks old (8 months just over)
He's now got three teeth, and the fourth is there ready to come through aswell. In the space of a couple of weeks he's learning so much i can't keep up! He is so noisy, and is constantly talking, singing etc lol

Happy Birthday Nad!
I didn't get my older two weighed that much - DD was hardly weighed at all - but Tom was weighed really often, weekly to begin with then at least monthly from six months old. Before you think I'm some crazy obsessive though, the reason was that Tom was involved in the CONI PLus programme, for families that have experienced cot death, and this contributed to part of their research. Half of these times the HV came out to weigh him, which saved me going to the clinic and gave her a handy opportunity to be able to patronise me. Tom also had a different growth chart - basically the same one as in the red book but about four times the size; they said this made it easier to be able to see any anomalies.0 -
When Alice used to have her 10pm expressed feed, if OH had the teat not on the bottle she would grab it and start sucking on it without the bottle.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
