Oh, another weaning tip I picked up while I think about it - peel a banana half way and cut the peel off so it's not flapping about, then give banana (or part of it anyway) to baby. I find if it is peeled it is too slippery for her to hold, but she can hold onto the bit that still has peel on and eat the rest. Now that will keep her quiet for a few mins while I call the bank!

Oh speaking of pelvic floors... I'd have thought that having a forceps delivery there might be more chance of a pelvic floor weakness but apart from the first couple of weeks after the birth I haven't had any problems?
and it's not like I've been good and done my exercises despite what I've told the MW's and HV's
Then again I always had pretty strong pelvic muscles and I think years of horse riding might have helped me... but that's just theoryDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I swear you lot are psychic! I was just thinking I should ask about pelvic floors because I have my physio app soon, it says I'll be there for 40 Minsk what are they gonna do? anyone know?0
-
When I went to physio (for something unrelated) the first appointment was really long so they could talk to me and examine me and work out what was wrong, then gave me some exercises to do. (also I was with a student and a teacher, so that probably made it take longer) All the subsequent appointments were shorter, but as it was for a neck/shoulder problem I got a free massage on the NHS for about 6 weeks or so. Luxury
... if only I hadn't had to be in so much pain it would have been anyway! No idea what kind of things they would need to do for pelvic floor probs though... I doubt you would get a back rub for them, but it wouldn't hurt to ask

Shame I won't get a rub
I hope it is just lots of chatting. I think they will give me a gadget that tones down there for me and have a feel (woo
) I would ask my sis but she's never done a womens bits rotation and I don't like the thought of her chatting about my lady bits to her workmates
I just hope they don't poke around to much.
Also don't know what the boys will be like:undecided mum is coming wth me but chris will get bored in a waiting room for that long0 -
OK, I phoned maternity unit and they said to go to my GP and if they think it is anything they will refer me to gynae as I am no longer registered with a MW and HV is on holidays with no cover in place !!!!
So apparently if you are not pregnant or have had your child more than 3 weeks ago, you are not important anymore. Oh well the pain killers seem to be helping a bit at the minute, but I will see what I am like over the weekend, may end up at doc on call if it gets any worseThe two best things I have done with my life

She did phone me and see if there was anything I needed before she went on holiday !! But I wasnt sore then and Dylan is doing fine
Will see how I am in the morning, have told Chris I feel better as he is a bit worried about me cuz I am not sleeping either, but thats just me being paranoid of Dylan not breathing properly !! Even though he is fine and is having no problemsThe two best things I have done with my life

If it does gets worse definitely get the DR out MM.
I thought it was just me that nervous about babys breathing, If I leave the babys side for anything, I get DH or DD sit at her side and watch her
Im sleeping literally with one eye closed and one eye and 2 ears on her.
She choked while i was BF a couple of days ago and the milk seemed to go down the wrong way and she lost her breath for a couple of seconds - cue me seriously panicking and holding her upside down while DH had a mini heartattack, I dont think I have felt normal since this.
Does anybodys else's baby seem to swallow air while their sleeping, its as if she thinks she is feeding and is swallowing over and over. Its really doing my head in, If I don't wind her properly she gets terrible hiccups and sometimes milk runs out the side of her mouth which frightens me. So when she swallows like this it I end up lifting her upright to make her stop it.
