They are on the righthand side and throb and ache, but when I walk or stand for more than a few minutes I need to breathe through them and sit down quickly as the pain gets very intense, then it eases back to just an ache.

The MW said its probably where my placenta was, which was correct. She thinks the infection in the womb has came from the open wound the placenta leaves inside when its removed.

Only reason I ask is that in the last 2 days I have got a sharpish pain in my right side quite low down - wasnt there up till now and thats 3 weeks later and I wasnt sure what it was and have been signed off from the MWs now and my HV has gone on holidays for 2 weeks !!!
Am going to go to the GP at the start of the week, well Tuesday, and see what she says as it doesnt feel quite right

  • MFD, have you given up membership of dummy snobbery then?! ;).

Poppy still has hers but only when in her cot and she offers it to me as soon as I walk in her room. I then have to put it on the shelf where one of her teddys looks after it! :D.

A speech therapist friend of mine told me that thumb sucking is much more damaging than dummies as it can affect the roof of the mouth.

Jamie isn't interested one bit as he much prefers sucking on his fingers (no thumbs so far!).

    xx

I am still a bit of a dummy snob :o - we don't take it out of the house and Benjamin only has it for sleeping. But ultimately whatever helps Benjamin to nod off on his own can only be a good thing!

oh and MFD what was the reaction that made you think you best not feed him? I think its quite poetic (not sure thats the right word) that you would be using your boobies as god intended whilst in god house as it were

My friend said there is a room that you can breastfeed in...I nearly said I can breastfeed in any room ;)
Hubby will probably welcome the opportunity to take Benjamin for a walk outside anyway :D

We don't have any trouble with getting baby to bed - maybe a couple of minutes crying but she drops off with some ssshhing and bottom patting.

A few people have mentioned bottom patting as a way of getting baby to sleep - how does this work when baby is laying on their bottom??

Aimee used to have imaginary friends called Nayka and Melly... They don't come to play much since she started school... Although Nayka often follows us to swimming...

MM, Aimee's the same at bed times, we can always hear her singing and playing and her bed is always full of books when I go up... I just ignore it tbh... It's a battle I don't think it's worth fighting, she always goes to sleep in the end...

Caitlyn's in a feeding all day mood... Think I won't bother getting dressed until it's school run time... Easier in pyjamas...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

As soon as I mentioned the fresh bleeding, she asked about pains and felt my tummy. I had thought yesterday the fresh bleeding was a bit strange.

My pain is quite low down as well. She also said it wasn't unusual with a CS.

I think a trip to the GP asap MM is in order.

My bleeding has pretty much finished now so thats not an issue, but the pain is quite intense for a fraction of a second every now and again. No appointments this afternoon, mine are closed Sat and Sunday and Monday is the bank holiday !!
Good job we have an open surgery on a Tuesday so no need for an appointment !!

I hope its nothing serious MM, mine is a constant pain, though bearable when sitting. Good luck at the docs on Tuesday. Why do these things always happen at bank holidays
