Any opinions on Lilypadz please? I've just remembered how much I loathed sleeping in a bra because of my leaky boobs and I think someone suggested these? I also hate the way breast pads can show through 'soft' nursing bras, so these could be the answer, but they are quite pricey to start with.

    TIA

I love em for going out in but too faffy for wearing when with babe (the milk collects inside them). I have worn them to bed for specisl occasions ;) but tbh I can't wait to put my comfy bed-bra back on :o
My tip - buy a soft feeding bra in a size or so too big so it is more comfortable to sleep in.
If you have proper boobies don't even attempt one of the sleeping bras that look like a crop top...your top boobie gets all confuzzled with your bottom boobie :rotfl:

Anyone had much luck "training" a baby at 11 months?

sami have you tried a blanket or towel inside to hold baby up a bit? play about with it and you will find a comfy position! also move the rings up your shoulder as i found that the higher they are the better it is, erin liked to be snuggled up but i think that they think they are back in the womb so get in a funny position!
erin is so nosey now and unless she is feeding she has to be upright to nose at things! will try get a pic tom to show you!
oh thanks caz, the pics on instructions are a bit rubbish, not sure I could feed him in it though - how do you get her high enough?
I should look for a sling meet. I think Fritha went to one, wonder how far away it was  Fritha you out there??

Good luck MFD, I hate filling in job applications that are a few pages nevermind a 30 page dossier on how fab you are :p

pull the loose end to tighten it and pull baby upwards then get in a comfortable position and give it a go, i must admit i found it easier as she got a little bigger. try the towel/blanket idea at first to see if that helps?
am off to bed but will try get pics up tom for you sami x

mrs t i didnt want to BF lewis for so long and would never feed at that age in public only in the house. so your not the only one.
i have the same thing with dummys i hate seeing kids running around with them! i saw a woman with 3 kids today 5,3,2 and everyone had reigns on and a dummy in their mouth it drives me mad! if they really need it then keep it in the house not walking around a shopping centre????

Benjamin has a dummy to go to sleep now (thanks to SB!!) but we don't take it out of the house!

Heir Hunters is a fab programme that you can just listen to!! It tends to be on whilst I am feeding Benjamin in bed (facing the wrong way usually) but I still really enjoy it!!!

Feeding in public - I have only encountered 1 old man who tutted at me in the pub...but I am not sure if he was tutting at me because I was feeding or because I was drinking a pint at the same time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    And I feed everywhere!!

I had to ask my friend if her church frowned on breastfeeding because we are going for her daughters christening on Sunday...it is the best way I know to keep Benjamin quiet :o
From her reaction I will be sending him outside with his daddy :o

Sami - you know I can waffle on for hours about how fab I am ;)

is it just me or are you slightly offended? I would never ask to do that even off my own sister.
I mean fair enough if she had said she'd buy it and you said just borrow it but to just presume...

    Sorry, forgot to reply...

Yes, I am sightly miffed! I'm not sure whether she feels she has the right to it as her Mum bought it for us . I haven't given her an answer yet but I get the feeling DH thinks I'm being a bit petty :o.

Hasn't her mum offered to buy her a pram then? (assuming she's doing the traditional grandparent gets the pram thing)
I don't think your being petty at all!

  • Went to the posh booby club today and had a wierd chance meeting...

...when I was pregnant, about november time, I went to Birmingham National Indoor Arena to see Lee Evans. At the interval I got talking to the girl sat next to us and she was from Wolverhampton too!! She had a baby and it was her first night out since giving birth. She told me she went to AquaNatal classes (that I had been going to) and told me about her Breastfeeding Support Group and how great it had been for her - this was one of the reasons that I went to Booby Club when Benjamin was 3 weeks old!

So today I went to posh Booby Club and a girl asked me if I wanted a cup of tea...as she handed it to me I said 'I have met you before' and it was the lady from Lee Evans!!!! Her little girl was getting her MMR today so she was off work and popped into the Booby Club to say hello!!!

    It's a small world after-all, it's a small world after-all, it's a small world after-all, it's a small world after all!!!!

LOL - you will all be singing that for ages now!!!!
