We don't have any trouble with getting baby to bed - maybe a couple of minutes crying but she drops off with some ssshhing and bottom patting.

However, DD1 is a pain in the butt - still, at 8 1/2! She goes up to bed at around 8 - but has to come down at least 5 times, sometimes 10. Various excuses are used - she needs a drink, she needs a wee, she needs to tell me something important (which she then forgets!). I've tried putting her up earlier and later but nothing seems to work. She never settles til 10ish! Other than locking her in her room :D I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions welcome.

There was drama after the school disco last night! DD asked her boy of choice (this week!), to dance with her and he turned her down! When I went to collect her all the girls were in a little huddle in the corner around my upset DD, all giving 'evils' to the boy in question! :rotfl: I told her in a few years time, he'll be begging her for a dance and she can turn him down instead. :rotfl:

Does anyone elses baby think the funniest thing in the world is to blow a raspberry with a mouth full of baby breakfast? We're both covered in it.

Tine, 3, have you tried looking on You Tube for videos on how to wear your slings?

Mine came with DVD instructions which have drawings of how to use it. I'm pretty sure i'm doing it right - but maybe not if its so uncomfortable!

I know the pics are mostly of back-carrying, but we've really only used it front-facing and it's been great.

We googled a lot before choosing it - there is a huuuuge range of sling choice out there.

Thanks for the link Bruno - but how much! Its an awful lot of money if we don't get on with it! (3 is off for a mooch on ebay!)

You have just described my 6 year old. She goes up to bed between 8.30 and 9 and I am lucky if she is asleep for 10.30 to 11. We have tried everything we can think of, and she does the same getting up constantly for various random things and nothing seems to work !!

Yep, my 5 year old goes to bed at 7 but is never asleep before 9:30/10ish... It's very difficult to eat hidden puddings when she keeps appearing on the stairs!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

We paid less than that - I think £60ish - from some other site after internet exploration. But yes, reasonably pricey :(

I'm glad its not just mine then! I think she's afraid she's missing something exciting when in reality, all she's missing is watching me on the lappy, OH on the wii (and maybe some secret sweetie munching)!

Aimee is also up before 7am every morning... The girl just doesn't sleep! Her teacher has even made a couple of comments about her looking tired, but how am I supposed to force her to sleep?!

I'll have a look on 4's website and see if one of the relevant episodes are on there...
