Hi MFD - Did he choke or struggle to breathe when it was happening? It probably is nothing to worry about, but if it does keep happening or makes him struggle/distressed, I would definitely take him to the docs.

needed some quiet time so LO watching Cbeebies. Now I feel bad about that - I hate this mothers guilt malarky. Perhaps a shower then getting out for a walk (if the rain stops) will help?

have a look at this r.mac.

No more guilt now m'lovely :)

When I was feeding Benjamin at 6am there was milk coming out of his nose (we were laying down) I thought it might just be because he was really full (my boobs were bursting!!) so didn't worry too much but it happened again when I fed him at 8.30am

    Any ideas?

Thought I would put the actual important question in bold to separate it out from the rest of the waffle :o

Toby often has milk coming out of his nose. I think I've got a bit of an overactive letdown, plus he can be a bit distracted and lazy with swallowing. Doesn't seem to bother him though.

  • Can I ask when everyone stopped or intends to stop sterlising bottles and boiling the water to make bottles. Some of the information given by health vistot states 6 months and some said 12 months. What about sterlising of dummys - feeding equipment - drinking cup etc? Would love to hear everyone elses opinions.

With DS I honestly cannot remember and with DS2 I sterlised and boiled the water until about 10 months. Does that sound about right. DD1 is only 3 months at the moment so a way off yet.

Also was wondering if most people are following the guidelines and weaning at 6 months.

My plan is/was to continue to sterilise anything that I use for milk up to 12 months. Anything else (dummies, cups, spoons) till 6 months. That seems to be the most common advice, and seems sensible.

Milk seems to be particularly nasty when it comes to bacteria, so I wouldn't risk not sterilizing it, even when they are crawling and sticking various things in their mouths.

I'm going to try and wait till 6 months to wean. I'm a 'homebody' anyway, and feeding on demand doesn't bother me, so hopefully with regular feeding, DS will be satisfied on just milk for 6 months.

I did! Just had to go back and check though - I did that, the royal mail ne, a secret shopping mission, registered for the baby product testing thingy and did some lightspeed surveys - everything is blending into one!

I've not been on over the weekend - so i'm off to catch up.

Enjoyed my Friday night out - the the saturday hangover wasn't so good with 3 children to organise and OH at work!!

I didn't see the link. Can you post it again please?

Uh oh. Imogen's 2.5 now. Does that mean i need to feel guilty for letting her watch 45 mins of Bedtime Hour before her bath? Both me and DH have been falling asleep in front of it for the last few nights and then being rudely awoken by Imogen shouting, "It's gone red! Bathtime!" (If you leave Cbeebies on after 7pm you get a red screen which tells you what times it's on) :rotfl:

Sami - do you like your C4? I'm looking for a new car too. Have about £5k so will need one at least 4 years old and Citroens have come up. Just don't have any experience of them.

Right, advice please. I'm trying to persuade DH to book a hol for next June. We'll have Imogen aged 3 and new LO at 11 months. We want child-friendly, near the beach, warm and self-catering (because we need a bedroom rather than cramming us all into one hotel room). Any recommendations please? Don't mind where we go. Loved Portugal last year, wouldn't mind Greece or Spain/Balearics. Specific hotels would be great. TIA

I have got exactly no jobs done so far today, so had better get something to eat and then get to it!
