Sami- still no leggins at the boot sale and viscose doesn't dye! My search continues! Debenhams have them for £3 in the sale but have sold out of size 10s :(

MFD I'm glad you and OH had a great time away :) I'm jealous!

What's everyone up to today? We have mum's group on weaning :)

our freecycle is rubbish, theres about 10 requests a day for fridge freezers and the only stuff that seems to get offered is car boot bits! we acquired a load of furniture last week so i put our moses basket on there as we had no space, which annoyed me as i wanted to sell it, and i had 12 emails in 5 minutes asking for it! i gave it to the person with the nicest email and the woman turned up in a brand new 09 reg mercedes wearing a suit and her shoes definitely looked like jimmy choos  as if people like that need free stuff!
just remember that highish earners take a big drop when they go on maternity so maybe she couldn't afford to spash the cash... just trying to see the positive :undecided

Mmmmm nice car...I won't getting anything as swanky as that;)

I think I have decided on a Volvo V70. As long as I get at least 01/02 or newer then they are a nice modern shape(would love brand new but my bank balance doesn't agree:rolleyes:). The V70 has a nice big boot, for our nice big dog:p and also comes with two fold away seats in the boot, making it a 7 seater when required...Perfect:D

I love car shopping...I am also booking in for my motorbike licence soon:o

Weezl - enjoy your weaning class:)

I have ds1 sports day this afternoon, please pray for dry weather!

oh don't get me wrong we SOOO can't afford one but you know boys and their toys:rolleyes: OH tried to get me to test drive a volvo when we got our C4 we have now but I said there was no way I would drive a volvo before I'm even 25!!!:rotfl:

he might have polished off a whole quarter of a watered and mashed gluten free reduced sugar rusk this morning which went down well but my god - the mess!! he cant seem to get his head round the fact that he needs to keep his hands out of his mouth to eat, so he had a bath shortly after! he is so much nicer for having something more than milk, he drifted off quite peacefully on the bed while i went and put a load in the machine. thats only the third time he has gone off to sleep on his own in his whole little life! :T

Oh emlou, I'm glad that food is helping him be more settled :) just out of curiosity- why gluten free rusks? are you or OH allergic?

the HV said we shouldnt give them gluten until theyre 6 months old, i havent heard that anywhere else though so i dont know how accurate that is? but i know rusks have a stupid amount of sugar in so i went for the reduced sugar stuff to be on the safe side.

the cot is in MIL's garage waiting for us to move  since we acquired enough furniture to fill a two bedroom house and had to store it in our one bedroom studio flat there is now no room for it anywhere! but we went over there last night and had a look, and it is lovely :T its a antique pine style with a matt finish rather than shiny varnish which matches a chest of drawers we have perfectly!

    Morning all,

Just wondered if any of you managed to sign up for that online survey I sent you for Ipsos? just going to use some of my vouchers to buy some Thomas DVD's on amazon and get nectar points as well so it very MSE morning here!!

I did! Just had to go back and check though - I did that, the royal mail ne, a secret shopping mission, registered for the baby product testing thingy and did some lightspeed surveys - everything is blending into one!

I've not been on over the weekend - so i'm off to catch up.

Enjoyed my Friday night out - the the saturday hangover wasn't so good with 3 children to organise and OH at work!!

sami thanks for the list of leggings on ebay, I particularly like the seller who wants me to wear them:

casually in the daytime with an over-sized tee or tunic dress, then glam them up at night time with a pair of killer heels and a statement clutch

    Gok wannabe or what?!

these ads are not for real mummies! should read, 'prevent yourself from flashing undies at other women at mum's group, then accidentally wear them to bed by falling asleep fully clothed at 9 pm'

as for 'statement clutch' is this something to do with neglecting the pelvic floors?

Morning all. Back from our weekend adventures - had lots of fun and a taste of thefuture playing with a boistrous 2 year old. We both spent the majority of the weekend saying "be careful of the baby", "NO don't kick/tred on/stab baby with your fork" and intervening in the nick of time. He wasn't being naughty as such, just clumsy and doesn't know his own strength! Lots of lovely sorry kisses and cuddles for baby (and the rest of us too!) so at least he is learning!

But yep, now home for a rest ;) DH and his parents had a blitz on the kitchen over the weekend while baby was out of the way too, so we had a lovely surprise when we got back. It isn't finished, but very much getting there, and it is starting to look fab - you can see how it is going to look when it is done. I'm very impatient to get on with putting things away!

It does mean that I am now clearing up all the building work mess, and doing all the washing that I [strike]asked DH to do while I was away[/strike] would have done if I was home and the stuff we brought back with us. Luckily my Mum popped round to see us, so she held the baby while I re-babyproofed the sitting room.

I hope you guys are all ok. What have I missed?!

I do love ebay for funny things like that when I was looking for Muslins last week I found a few people selling a 6 pack of Muslims :p
