Oh Caz - sorry forgot to say congrats to your OH.
Emlou - have you looked at the cashback sites to see if there's anyone offering a good deal so you could buy a new one? I use Topcashback which doesn't charge any fees. Not sure if it would work out cheap enough for you? That sounds really expensive for 2nd handMy_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »But to be honest - we find tummy time is best with a big fleece blanket on the floor and mummy, daddy or big brother (or sometimes all 3 LOL) getting down on Benjamins level and having some fun!!As for me and hubby - good food, good wine, good sex and a good old natter - it was like the old days!!!
we definitely find tummy time only goes well if it is accompanied - if we turn him over on the floor and move away for a second all hell breaks loose!!Mummy to

Caz - congrats on your OH's job:D
MFD - Glad you had a nice night away.....did you sit there half the evening saying, 'I wonder if he's in bed yet?' 'Do you think he drank all his milk?' and the like??? Or were you both OK about leaving him:)
Tine - That sports centre sounds great, I wonder if my local one does anything like that? Awww your poor dh, did he cope OK?
I got annoyed with my hubby this evening, after tidying up half the day and doing everything for Kai, as usual... I bathed him and then put him in his bouncy chair, which I then placed conveniently at dh feet;) I went up with the older two to oversee them getting bathed/PJ'd/Clean teeth etc...and after literally about 30secs dh came storming up the stairs and dumped Kai in my arms....apparantly 'he wouldn't stop whining':mad:
I've been virtual car hunting:) I haven't got the money till the end of Sept, but wanted to choose what type of car to look for. So I have been online browsing, trying to narrow it down:rolleyes:
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Mel x
We were fine Mel! I did check with my mum that all was well but I enjoyed being able to forget about mummy things for the night. I did find it hard this morning when there was a family sat having breakfast with their kids being cute - I needed to come home straight away then.
Do you think that it is a confidence thing with your hubby? Sometimes I think that OH's just convince themselves that they can't 'do it' when they so obviously can.
What kind of car are you looking at?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

He did ok - they were all still alive when I got home
He did look a little like a lost puppy but I'll give him his due - he knew I was only 5/10 mins away at any point and COULD have called my mobile but he just kept trying to calm her and feeding her etcOnly difference really was I've been doing it nearly 24/7 since she was born and he hasn't - wasn't for lack of trying or goodwill
Our local sport centre used to be pants and quite icky - it got sold by the council to a sports centre chain and now it's actually niceI'm trying to decide on whether to join now or wait a month tho
I really want to get a bit fitter as soon as possible - especially some back strengthening exercises - my back is still shot to pieces and only thing I can think of is some exercises to strengthen it...

:j Yay, Rhys! You must be on cloud 9, elle! :j
MFD, glad your evening went well!
Mel, when I had Poppy I was convinced DH would just panic and call for me. Honestly, I couldn't have a wee in peace! I would rush to go see to her but then I decided to leave him to it, not in a horrible way, but just so he had to deal with it and think, yes, you're her Daddy, she is yours too!.
And I would decide to have a shower at totally random times so he had no choice and I couldn't hear him calling :rotfl:.
