That one isn't actually a book on child development, it's about exercises for posture and muscle tone. Will look up online reviews for them all before I use them for anything proper :)

Righty, bedtime for me.. Nighty night all - hope you have good nights with your little ones :)
  • One last thing before I go to bed - the pens that you use to write on CD's / DVD's are great for writing on Milk Storage Bags (I struggled with biros etc for ages!)

Also - if you put the bag against the sharp corner of a worktop to squeeze all the air out it is really easy to do!

    :D

    Night all!

Weezl - 12mths SMP wouldn't infiuence my decision to have more children, and I hope it wouldn't be the main reason for anybody....People should have babies because they want them, not for any perks/benefits that they may get.....not saying that anyone here would do that:)

    Mel x

oh! yes, I hadn't realised it sounded a bit like that :rotfl: can you imagine?

sorry my question was more aimed at some folks who were saying perhaps not to have any more babies or perhaps to only have 2 due to financial constraints, and I wondered if the enhanced SMP might help to make things affordable, that is alledgedly why the govt are doing it! :)

    We have the tray too!

Personally, I wouldn't have bought the Ikea one when Poppy was tiny as I had a preference for a cushioned chair with a 5 point harness. We graduated to Ikea when she was one :D.

    xx

oops! I should've done more research before the car boooty SB! Erm, what's better with a 5 point harness, is it better for safety when they can climb out? :o:D

Or if you give it to your husband to do then it's even easier. :D

I pooped myself last night when I'd fallen asleep feeding Edgar with the tv on, I woke up and as I was trying to focus my eyes before putting him in his moses I realised Chris was stood right in front of me watching the tv his face was right next to mine and it shocked me :p I put him back in bed and I'm not sure when/what happened but when I got up this morning he was asleep on the chair in the lounge

Was he awake when he was standing there? I wonder if he's going to be a sleepwalker. James is and it goes through phases but he's never done anything serious. One night I was going to bed and he was standing leaning over the railing on the landing but he was still asleep. I did ask what he was doing and he said he was fishing, so I said all the fish had gone to bed and perhaps he should too, and off he went. He had no recollection of that happening the next day. Othertimes he's just got up and wandered about for a bit and then gone back to bed.

I've been flicking through those books I bought earlier.. Says baby should be able to hold head and shoulders up for a few seconds by three months - Rhys can do that now  (6 weeks old, 37 weeks gestational age) Is the book wrong or is Rhys just magic? :o

I would take any development info with a pinch of salt as all babies are different. James was walking by 9 months and climbing by 10 months, but he didn't really speak until he was nearly 4. However Charlotte was 10 months old and hadn't managed to move from laying on her back, then went from a laying down baby to a walking toddler in the space of weeks, and she's a right chatterbox at age 2. They're all different and they all do everything in their own time.

5 point harness means it comes round either side of the waist, over each shoulder and a strap between the legs. They shouldn't be able to climb out with one on.
Here I go again on my own....

  • And on another note - anyone who is tempted to take out an ICICI Savings Account DON'T - I have been trying to get MY money out of there for 8 months now (albeit off and on - you know how it is :o) and I still don't have my savings that were supposed to pay for my pram

MFD check they still have your bank details. I've got an ICICI savings account and when I tried to move some money they said because I hadn't put any money in or out within the last few months they delete your bank details (to transfer to/from) for data protection. Just send them an email from your account and they will re-instate it.

I've got some boots milk storage bags, if you hold them where the milk it, the top kind of flops over and the air goes out of it on its own, no need for squeezing... I had a mini panic over my milk store yesterday when I realised Aimee had been in the freezer and not closed the door properly... The ice cube bags at the front had started to defrost but the milk crammed in at the back was still frozen fine...

Caitlyn managed to sleep from 10:30 until 3:45 last night! I'm so glad, think another night with 2 hour sleeps would of finished me off... Hubby was happy too seeing as he was on a promise lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
