Anyway, it has settled in my mind that I won't be taking up the offer of training to be a BF Advocate...I just don't think I am cut out to push it that hard.

To be honest I think that's probably a good reason TO do the training! I think it's important to be balanced, sensible and approachable! Therefore I could type a mini rant out but in the interests of not opening any cans of worms I'll keep my gob shut ;)

CG, I'm so sorry to hear your news.. there is nothing I can say, I know *hugs*
.. I am glad I didnt BF him, he has one strong wee suck

Some of us would kill to have that problem..

    Anyway..

We've been doing tummy time again this afternoon and I've left Rhys sitting up on a beanbag, bashing his toy arch :) Took piccies so will upload to FB later on.

Today's blood results came back super fast and there's nothing to worry about and no need to change any meds just yet :) Head scan also showing nothing worse than last week - fluid is still there, not drained away but no worse. Could be a blocked duct but nothing too serious, apparently! Not sure I agree, but I think they mean in the grand scheme of things...

House is coming along too. Living room just needs a final coat of paint and the shed is now complete so half the stuff cluttering up the living room can go in the shed - which will make more room to empty the spare room into the living room.. what joy! Sooo can't wait til it's all done!

I think they are usually given out in hospital after giving birth....I don't think I got one either, maybe it's because we had home-births?

Does anyone know of anywhere to get nice romper suits?

ah! right, found the letter and it is the newborn pack :( , but they've told me how to get the weaning one so at least I'll not miss out on that one!

eta: yes! that must be the reason Mel xxx

I collected my mum to be one from Asda on Tuesday as first time I could get there since getting form last week at hospital , opened it up to find all the vouchers ran out on Tuesday!!!! I've emailed them and they are going to send me another card.

(i'm sure any expectant mums will accept the newborn nappies hint hint!!)
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

I had Alice in hospital but only got the bounty bag when the midwife was visiting because I asked about why I hadn't got it. My friend said with her three (at the same hospital) they always came along with them at some silly time in the morning and took photos too. Pampers used to send nappies to us which were too small for Alice. I don't know why as they had her age right. I just gave them to my friend who's baby was smaller.

CG *hugs* to you and your family xx

maz there is a book but i cant for the life of me remember(it will come back one day lol!) there are a range of book about going to hospital, death, new babies all different things??

heres a range not the one i meant but maybe more his age range
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Waiting-Baby-All-Annie-Kubler/dp/0859539733/ref=pd_sim_b_1/277-8042785-7555567
I can recommend that book for the older siblings-to-be, and the other book in the series - the newborn one - is even more fab, as there are pics there of the Dad cooking dinner and stuff, while the Mum feeds the baby or rests. :T:T

Also, the thing I liked about it was that they had pictures of the Mum breastfeeding the baby, because not many books do.

There are no words in it, so it's appropriate to any age and you can just make up your own words/commentary. :D

Thanks...I looked in Asda the other day, it's usually always a safe bet, but my Asda had nothing, it was awful!!!

Decided to give in and get the pool out, oh my god we have had such fun in it. We pulled the trampoline next to it and have been bouncing off it into the pool!!!!!!!
