LOL - my exes mum darned a cross onto the top of all the black socks so she could remember which pair belonged to whom (there were 3 sons and a dad) dad was blue, son 1 was green, son 2 (my ex) was yellow and son 3 was pink :rotfl:

She didn't even darn them at the toe where it couldn't be seen!! If they unpicked the cross then they would find that no socks made it back into their drawers and woe betide them if they wore a pair of socks with someone elses cross
Oh yes, my mum used to sew thread on their socks but it was on the toes. It was annoying sorting clothes though because when I asked my brothers they always claimed not to know which was their colour.

i'm feeling very chuffed at the moment! a friend has just moved in with her OH and had a set of furniture going spare so it has been donated to us :D
we are now one cabinet, one table and four chairs, one shelving unit and one nest of 3 tables better off :D there was meant to be a fridge as well but they broke it on its way down the stairs from her flat, but nevermind, i think they have given us about £250 worth of furniture if we were to buy it new!!

I think they are usually given out in hospital after giving birth....I don't think I got one either, maybe it's because we had home-births?

Does anyone know of anywhere to get nice romper suits?
