We're fans of Aldi's and only use Tesco/ Sainsburys for nappies etc so I get the points etc. Went to Sainsburys for a change on Saturday and OH hated it as he said it took far too long and there was too much choice!!!

Hugs to you CG and your family at the minute.

Does anyone know of any 'story' books for LO that explain me having another baby (IYKWIM)? hope that makes sense..

We didn't buy Poppy a book but did get her a dolly which I also held and coo-ed over so she got used to me holding another 'baby'. And we dressed and fed dolly and now she has a pram for dolly :D.

Might not be as appropriate for Henry tho! ;)

my mum did similar, she got my sister a doll with all the extras so everytime she was feeding me my sister had to give her baby a bottle and they changed nappies together and so on...

    Corned beef and cheese?!?

Were they just too darned lazy to make seperate ones or maybe they are the 'just pick the meat out, it won't hurt you' types! :rotfl:

Was this at posh BBC?? :D

We don't get food at Posh BBC  We get apple or orange juice. Have been there this afternoon and have decided I am quite liking the girls there :D

My mum did "Susan J [my maiden name]" on mine. My brother is John so for him she cut the "Susan" bit off. When it came to my other two brothers (twins) she just did the surname and sewed them with different colour thread so she could tell the difference.

LOL - my exes mum darned a cross onto the top of all the black socks so she could remember which pair belonged to whom (there were 3 sons and a dad) dad was blue, son 1 was green, son 2 (my ex) was yellow and son 3 was pink :rotfl:

She didn't even darn them at the toe where it couldn't be seen!! If they unpicked the cross then they would find that no socks made it back into their drawers and woe betide them if they wore a pair of socks with someone elses cross

    I loved that woman :D

    Morning ladies

Very sorry to hear your news CG, it is such a devastating thing I have trouble imagining the sheer amount of pain events like that cause :(

Am I an abomination? We nearly always shop at Ocado/Waitrose, occasionally Sainsburys :/ Waitrose customer service were really great once and won our loyalty!

yes but its worth it just to be cool!! and you dont get heating bills in the summer so its ok ;)
Yes but my lack of gas bill in the summer offsets the winter heating bills... I pay a lot of money to stay warm in the winter so I like that I can do it for free in the summer ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I went into work this morning and got to be a real person for 4 1/2 hours :D god I wish I could go as a consultant proper and afford to work the odd day here and there when I wanted to :D here's hoping that I win the lottery and can afford to do so ;)

Then we went over to Posh Booby Club for an hour. There was a new lady there who is at that 'all he ever wants to do is feed' stage so she had gone for some help and advice. Whilst chatting she 'confessed' that she had given her son some formula - to which I replied 'Oh well, you do what you have to do...formula isn't failure' and I got shot a really dirty look from the BF Counsellor!!

I haven't really had much to do with this lady because Benjamin and I are feeding fine so I don't really know her but it makes me so angry that BF is pushed to the detriment of everything else....and any mummy who chooses to use whatever means to feed her child is frowned upon. The poor mum had been told that her son hasn't been latching properly for 8 weeks and was clearly a bit upset and shocked...all I was seeking to do was reassure her (and to let her know that we all go through a stage of feeling like our babies feed constantly).

Anyway, it has settled in my mind that I won't be taking up the offer of training to be a BF Advocate...I just don't think I am cut out to push it that hard.

Not meaning to open the BF debate again but I wanted to write it down so it doesn't pick away at my brain :o
