We're fans of Aldi's and only use Tesco/ Sainsburys for nappies etc so I get the points etc. Went to Sainsburys for a change on Saturday and OH hated it as he said it took far too long and there was too much choice!!!

Hugs to you CG and your family at the minute.

Does anyone know of any 'story' books for LO that explain me having another baby (IYKWIM)? hope that makes sense..
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

I'm still handwashing susan are you proud of me :)
I'm very impressed. You're making me want to do it again (since I could pop it in the washer for a spin) but I think I should finish unpacking first.
One tip for if you have more than one child I remember from when Iw as little is to just use initials then have the label say (for example) C Bee E, so that Sammi could cut off the E at the end for Chris' clothes and cut off the C at the beginning for Edgars. no use to me now though, unless I want to pick what letter a future child's name is going to start with, then stick to it ;)
My mum did "Susan J [my maiden name]" on mine. My brother is John so for him she cut the "Susan" bit off. When it came to my other two brothers (twins) she just did the surname and sewed them with different colour thread so she could tell the difference.
we had some terrible news in the last few days,
my sister in law gave birth to our nephew at 23 weeks gestation, he was born alive but just too small to make it, he was only 1lb 2oz
he died not long after birth,

i feel so awful for her but dont know what to say, poor girl... her first baby too
i cant imagine anything like this happening to me, i think it would finish me off.
So sorry to hear that. :grouphug:

Huh??? How odd! here they do quite a few readings to see what happens to the glucose levels one every 30 minutes for several hours... my fasting was fine, then they peaked and the first one was over, the next one only just over and then they dropped below the thresh hold again - hence they decided I had a glucose intolerance, but NOT GD... They just kept monitoring my glucose in my urine samples and were happy I didn't need to alter my diet - but I guess we have no history of diabetes in the family so maybe that makes a difference?

I really wouldn't worry about it causing the baby to come early based just on that result though - you could be just like me with a glucose intolarance - and they so far haven't asked me to repeat any tests after madam arrived in the world which suits me - no more needles YAY! :D
We just get two readings done - fasting and 2hrs after the glucose drink. I had to have it done twice because I came out borderline (I had a high fasting reading). I had to eat a "low sugar diet" before the retest which made no difference because it was how I already ate so they then told me I had impaired glucose tolerance and should carry on as I had been (i.e. the so called low sugar diet).

On supermarkets, when I need a big shop, I make my list and then go on mysupermarket to check the prices at Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda. Depending on prices I then go to either two or all three over the next week.
