Well done on the new job though :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I am living in bra and knickers as soon as I get home from work - it's too hot for me!

Thanks Krystal - these are the xtra benefits compared to current job - sick pay, maternity pay (next time round), creche at the hospital, £5 off childcare per day, bump and baby events including baby yoga and baby massage!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

We went to boobie group today :D was nice but a bit quiet to start with but we had a selection of fruit juices, strawberries, grapes and a box of celebrations. Chris was having fun making everyone have a drink of water because he like to press the levers on the cooler :p Edgar was well behaved and fed nicely while we were there  as usual everyone was cooing over both of them *beams with pride*
Afterward I took Chris for his hair cut and they were shut!! Who's ever heard of a hairdresser that is shut all day Wednesday but is open on a monday  I'm quite tempted to just shave his head because the poor baby has got a really hot head under all that hair!

That is so cute! I went to Baby Club today and no one ever remembers my name but they sure remember Poppy! :rotfl:

PS: we had apple and cranberry juice - whoohoo!

Jamie is now 26w and 19lb 6oz. I sat down on the mats with him surrounded by toys and was busy chatting away when one of the Mum's said 'he's really coming on, how long has he been doing that?'. He was sitting up all by himself!!. I mumbled 'er, only just recently actually' :rotfl:.

    xx

Wow, Jamie seems to have got to 26 weeks really quickly! And he's only 11 oz less than Tom who's almost a year older!

elle - don't listen to the lady who said you'll never breastfeed. If you believe that one day you will, it's important that you try and follow that dream. Things may change and you may not be able to breastfeed, but that decision has to come from you, and not because some lady told you so. Keep positive and keep the breast feeding dream going, and I'm really hoping that you get there in the end.

Glam - I had impaired glucose intolerance and I've tested positive for it since having Charlotte. It's nothing serious to worry about. It just means you have to watch your diet and not eat too much sugar. Things like a couple of biscuits are ok but not the whole packet, have a small bar of choc rather than a big bar, have a sensible slice of cake and so on. Sometimes I have overdone it on the sugar and I feel light headed and headachey, but it settles down within a few hours. The only serious worry is that it puts you at risk of developing diabetes in later life, but eating healthy, keeping weight off and staying fit can help prevent it.

Charlotte is really funny at the moment with the things she comes out with. She fell over earlier and has two scabby knees. She was just sitting on the sofa and suddenly said "oh dear, look at the state of the knees" :rotfl:

Then she walked into the kitchen just as hubby opened the oven door and reminded him "mind that's hot. Be careful now" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Choca - the list I asked today is below... not all will be relevant to you though!:

    do they do/understand baby signing
food - provided by us or them? charges/ timing? if provided by nursery is it "homemade" or bought in? hygine rating?
naptime? (getting baby to sleep!) & what facilities are there - is bedding changed between children?
    leaving buggy there?
    milk from cup not bottle
    how is naughtiness handled?
outdoor space, and how often is it used?
when do babies move to next room?
what records do they keep? (ie diary of feeds/naps/changes etc)
    parents evenings?
    check prices!
security (what would happen if my mum had to collect for example)
    staff -
    ratios of staff to children
staff qualifications & how long they have been there
    cover over lunch
    1-1 time
are they allowed to smoke in breaks?

also, I found this calculator earlier in the week, to help you work out if you are better off getting childcare vouchers or the childcare element of wtc.

I've picked a nursery now but they have a waiting list, so have to send off the form and cross my fingers that they will have room by September (I imagine there will be kids moving on to big school and others moving up a room, so hopefuly we will be ok... ~crosses fingers really hard~)

Oh - to hot people - depending on how hot and bothered you will get going there, taking baby to library/supermarket/somewhere else with aircon might be a plan? That's what I'm going to resort to if we get desparate - pop round the corner to mr t, and stand in the cheese aisle for a while ;)

Childcare vouchers etc are mentioned in the mailout today, maybe worth checking :)

September is the best time to start for precisely that reason ;)

We went to tesco today and spent an usually long time staring at the yogurt
