emlou, sorry about the bumbo  erm..... can you customise it at all on the bits that are discoloured? Seth could be the proud owner of an 'outer space' themed bumbo? One of a kind! But you know me, always up for the dodgy home-made alternative! DH fears that with me as a mum fergie's gonna be like marcus from 'about a boy' :rotfl:according to someone who replied on my thread on the ebay board "most people dont buy second hand things from a stranger for their children" because its "minging second hand kit you dont know the history of"...0

Sami - I think Roo's clothes is about 50/50 second hand/new
DH is far more picky than me about second hand... I grew up in second hand clothes and never did me any harm

Only thing second hand I got (apart from heirlooms) was my Silvercross. Lady had it for a few weeks, used it once, and I bought it for £100! Absolutely immaculate, couldn't believe it.
DS had jabs today, Very sad, I've never heard him cry like that
I was able to go out, not sure I'll manage it next time. What do doctors do about agoraphobic parents? Don't suppose they'd give him jabs at home would they?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Does someone want my baby? She won't stop shouting at me today! Missed most of Aimee's (none competitive, curcuit training) sports day either feeding/rocking/changing nappies... She didn't sleep well this morning, was on off feeding from 4ish... I thought she'd make up for it with a really good nap, but she did 20mins... Then she dropped off on the way home and I thought that would be her good nap... But nope, awake as soon as we got through the front door! I might just take her up to bed and see if she'll settle there... I could do with a nap myself...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Today is talent day at ds1's school - he has been practising for 2 weeks so hope it goes well.
CG at least ur dd gets to compete ds's school do a wierd non competitive sports day which is a bit like circuit training and involves trailing round after him to watch - WAY more tiring than the picnic blanket and parasol days of ols.lol.
It is talent show for my ds1 today too:p
Isn't it funny how they have changed the format for sports day! At ours, the head teacher rings a bell after each event, when it is time to move round, and it ends up a kind of race for parents to get to the next event first, so you can get to the front to watch your child.... I think all the parents end up doing more 'sports' than the kids:rotfl:
Oh, a while back someone asked whether other babies didn't like tummy time, can't remember who it was? Anyway, I forgot to add that Kai HATES being on his tummy, he gets all distressed and flaps his arms and legs about, whilst banging his nose on the floor whining! The thing is, he also hates lying on his back too.....he will lay happy for about 2-3mins max, and then whinges:rolleyes: If he is sat in his bouncer chair/swing/doorbouncer/propped on the sofa, he is really content, happy, smiley.
So, do you think it is worth bothering with a playgym, do you think that will entertain him whilst lying down....Also on that note, I have decided to get the highchair NOW and finally decided on this one.http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_934+342_10751_-1_21676_72935_10001_21676#delivery_tab
Do I remember someone having a discount code for Kiddicare, could I have the code if it is still valid please:D

Twas mehave pm'd you.
To be honest Benjamin doesn't use his babygym that often because I can't stand having it out all the time (it makes the house look even more of a pigsty than it already is!) but when I put it away I have to put it away properly so it fits neatly back into its original packaging (it's the anal obsessive in me!) so it is a pain to keep getting it out and putting it back.
Should you buy one? Would it p1ss you off being on the floor all the time? Will Kai stay on his back if he has something to amuse him (like you!) - if not it's probably not worth it.
Now - why does my baby boy decide that he wants to have a long nap every time I want to go out? We were supposed to go to a new Booby Club at 1pm and he promptly fell asleep at 12.50  I daren't wake him or he will be a pig when we get there - he is SO like his dad :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Well Done:grouphug:we have talked a lot this week and think we are going to give it all we can. i have looked into relate etc and waiting for a call about prices etc as we are on benifies at the min so should be able to get some help. fingers crossed OH gets this job he has applied for, girl seemed very optimistic as they have done work for them before:D
thats good that your going to try and move forward,
Well my dad is still in hospital but it wasan't a heart attack not sure when hes getting out yet keeping him for tests.
Not sure who asked about different clothes, I like New Looks clothes and they are resonably priced. some ace bright stuff, although saying that I was in NL yesterday and our one seems to have stopped baby clothes but they had a lot reduced so presume there getting rid of it and it now starts from 2years. Not sure if that is nationwide or just our store, worth a look if your in town and have a new lookEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

Thanks MFD, He maybe stays on his back for 5mins, if someone is entertaining him. But once he starts with the grizzles then nothing really amuses him...apart from sitting him up......he always like to be looking around, I suppose I have answered my own question, but I am just worried that with no 'floor' time he will not learn to roll over/crawl:cool:
I will get the highchair anyway, as the higher he is seated the happier he is:D Thanks for PM;)
Hope you get to booby club:)

Are we in the same school? Our sports day was also us trailing around to watch different 'events' - all very jolly and non-competative!
And its talent show doday too - I'd love to be a fly on the wall to watch these talent shows. DD likes to think shes a drama/dancing/singing star, at the last show her music failed - but she continued her dance, in silence! The head commented on her school report that her performance in the last talent show was 'priceless'! Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. :rotfl: I'm not sure where I got DD from - she's to total opposite to me as a child - I would hardly speak to people so absolutely no chance of me performing on a stage!
LOL well I am down south so doubt it. This is ds1's schools first talent show afaik - I wonder where that idea came from.
:rotfl::rotfl:at your dd's performance thats pure professionalism!feelinggood wrote: »

Feelie - is this a new thing? Or a continued manifestation of your old depression? I only ask because I felt abit like that with ds1 as we lived in a rural area and I started to become a recluse due to lack of funds and friends to do stuff with and tbh the only thing that helped was literally making myself go out and mix on a regular basis as the longer I went between social contact the harder it seems to get.
Sorry I can't answer your q about the jabs though - maybe you should phone the drs and ask at least then they might start to take your condition a bit more seriously. Drs do make house calls sometimes but they are not very keen on it.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Twas mehave pm'd you.

:rotfl:this happens in our house too. LO can be EVER so tempremental after a nap if it is cut short - so like his dad too lol! (although to be fair oh doesn't actually cry for half an hour when he's woken up like archie does).
Well that was fun - I like that new tool. :T I'm no longer a multiquote virgin.
