Was washing up earlier and Charlotte came in and said "done a poo. Change a nappy now, or just a minute?" :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....
  • Oh, and my electric pump arrived too... I've had a go of it and managed to get 30ml without even trying... Will be giving it a wash and sterilising it ready to express a bit of milk for Saturday... My Mum is going to babysit so we can go to the cinema... A bit of a trial run for Top Gear... Just watch Caitlyn sleep the whole time and not need a feed...

Benjamin did this first time we went out...I had defrosted 5 ounces for MIL to feed him (he normally feeds loads in the evenings) and I had to poor it down the drain

Rmac - hope you're both better soon. And holiday from being a parent? I call it work! Get the grandparents recruited as soon as you both feel comfortable, send the baby to them and have a 'stay-cation' at home. (Very MSE) Even after one night you'll feel refreshed and ready to have baby back. In your own time though. Don't think we did this til Imogen was over a year old, SIL left nephew at a few months so it's horses for courses

Imogen's currently upstairs napping following a busy day at craft class and playgroup. DH now has no less than 5 Father's Day cards waiting, 4 of which are covered in excessive amounts of glitter :rotfl:

I feel odd. Going to the loo once an hour (which is a new one as I've been fine this pregnancy). Bump seems to be getting progressively lower - DH thinks it's moved again since he's been away. And I'm sitting here on my pilates ball while typing and my dinky is stinging  I'm hoping these are all good signs, but can't remember getting anything like it last time around. Am going to force DH to honour his promise tonight no matter how tired he is (not my fault he was out til 2am!) so keep your fingers crossed. Did I read somewhere that second babies don't engage until labour is pretty close (1st babies can engage weeks before)?

    A stay-cation - I like the sounds of that :D

Why is there always SO much glitter on home-made cards - it gets bl00dy everywhere

Sounds like baby might make an appearance soon :j
i may be talking !!!! but isnt it that with your first once they engage properly they get a bit stuck, but with the second everything is already so stretched and knackered that baby can pop in and out of engagement like a wag looking for the right footballer...

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I think I just did a little wee!!!

New Booby Club was fun when we eventually got there. We've not lived here that long and I am still finding my way around but this Childrens Centre is clearly in a nicer area than the one I usually go to - you get a better class of booby in Bushbury :D
...neither are my actual allocated Childrens Centre...I haven't visited the one closest to me yet  not sure why!

Edit - I don't think you can mulitquote more than 3 posts...I am sure I put more than that in there...

Sorry MFD... Whenever I hear the word Bushbury I always think of Bushbury Crem... It's the only thing I've ever needed to go there for...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I didn't even know the crem was there Krystal...think of a nice Booby Club instead :D we had orange juice and apple juice but no coffee (note to self, top up caffeine levels before going again!!)

I am really pleased because there are a couple of ladies there doing baby led weaning so I can pick their brains. One said that they can start as soon as they can pick up food and put it in their mouth...Benjamin is putting everything in his mouth already, I guess he just needs to work on the picking up element! I reckon he will be well ready by 17 weeks.

Hoping so! Am fed up of being pregnant this time. Don't remember feeling like this so early last time. Braxton Hicks have been a permanent fixture for about 2 months now and are picking up. Doesn't matter if I'm active or just lazing about.

DH has put in a request that it doesn't happen on Monday as he's going to be helping with some filming with the local BBC weatherman - media tart! He'll be driving a boat up the river through the centre of Leeds, so those of you in Yorkshire/Lincolnshire, watch out for the good-looking dark-haired guy driving a boat on the news at some point next week - he's mine!

Glad J's OH explained about the Blossom doughnut as I was about to. It's a big inflatable activity ring that LO can sit in without toppling over and bashing their head every few mins. Blossom Farm is an ELC 'theme'.
