Imogen is currently wearing me out running around baking things. She's read the ingredients list off one of my birthday cards and apparently they are, "milk, eggs, pink milk, soil and chocolate," PMSL!

I have been trying to do her big floor farm jigsaw with her for the last 30 mins but she's not that interested.

Elle - glad Rhys is doing well. He'll look a bobby dazzler in the new things you've bought.

For anyone using cloth nappies I found a lovely lady who makes trousers to fit round them. I found some fab pony-skin effect ones that were only listed in 2-3 yrs so I messaged her and she'll make them in any size you like, hurrah! Was trying to have a look at some boy's clothes (just can't seem to get excited about them :-( ) and came across them on ebay. Will post a link if anyone wants.

Emlou - hope you have a better day

Ladybird - Imogen's nursery has a dedicated set of keys as they found so many parents getting as far as their cars and then realising LO had them! The staff are skilled at swapping them so we can all get to work!

MM - hope LO feels better by tonight. Mojitos sound yummy!

I'm supposed to be going out for mojitos tonight, Yay! The baby has been projectile vomiting since 6am, boo! Hopefully she will stop soon and I will still be able to go out, its like she's got a 6th sense for being left at home with Daddy.

Yummy - I luuurrvvee Mojitos! I have been wondering what hubby and I should do for our Wedding anniversary and I think you have just given me the answer! My parents are coming again and we are staying out for the night :D
Fingers crossed for a settled tummy in time for mummys night out!

i'm fed up to the point of tears with seth and his ridiculous sleeping habits, ...
OH telling me its my fault cos he's not in enough of a routine when all i do all day when he is off is tell OH off for not abiding by my routine!

((HUGS)) em - the only thing I can say is that when I stopped worrying about Benjamin sleeping and having a set 'routine' and started giving him some freedom to go to sleep when he wanted is when things clicked into place for us. I used to spend hours and hours during the day trying to get him to sleep the second he showed any sign of tiredness and it just didn't work for us. I ended up in tears on numerous occasions...as well as taking him out in the pram/car...now I just let him keep going and give him lots of cuddles. He only naps for a few hours during the day (mostly in the morning then a bit at lunchtime) then he sleeps from anywhere between 8/9pm til 5.30am at the earliest, feeds then goes back down.
Anyway, it doesn't matter a bit what we are doing, every baby is different. If your routine is not working, why not try changing it a bit?

Who wanted jazzy baby clothes? :)

I've just been browsing (honestly, I was looking and all these things FELL into my virtual basket! ;)) Asda's baby clothes and they have some bright stuff online right now :)

Just bought Rhys some bright sleepsuits - all the proper premature ones (3.5-5lb) just seem to come in baby blue and white. We've bought 8/9 sleepsuits and 4 vests but they cost about £70!! Sometimes the nurses put him in the hospital things and I've now looked at the labels and found they are Asda/Tesco "tiny baby" size which is actually 6-7lb but they don't look too huge on him despite him only weighing 3lb 11oz right now! Have ordered some bold colours with animals on to jazz him up a bit :D Also just couldn't resist the cow fleece to match the cow shoes I bought ages ago and a dressing gown with a hood and ears (in bigger sizes for the future obviously!) :o

I didn't know Asda did baby clothes online! I bought the cow print vests yesterday, despite my misigivings that they will all end up grey cos I am carp at washing!! I also bought a FANTASTIC superman babygro - will see if I can see it online.

...nope, not there, will have to take a photo instead!

Yay for Rhys - he looks SO much better in his new photos!

all this talk of cow print - I LOVE cows :D Edgar has a little cow that he sleeps with and both boys have the cow n gate cow, My sis bought Edgar a cow outfit from asda that has a tail *awwww*
It all started because OH's nick name is Moo and I'm now obsessed :p I'll have to get a pic of Ed in his outfit once I have my camera back!

well MW was supposed to come today so I've not got in shower in case she came while I was in there but she's still not been and I'm torn between still being in my PJs and a bit gross or risking the shower
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

  • i used to have a cow print kitchen,
all the jars for tea coffee etc, biscuit barrel they were all cow print, i had a cow kettle (that mooed when it was boiled, also a sheep toaster that would baa at you to tell you it had either just about warmed your bread or cindered it)
there was loads more but most of it has been phased out, i still have a collection of cows on the windowsill, the cow print clock i made and still have my cow print fridge magnets, just black spots that you decorate the fridge with so it looks...umm... moo-ey

DD had (and now DS has...lol) a massive thick fleece CP blanket,
he also had some vests but has grown out of them now... he has a CP taggy blanket though,
ive been known to have CP fascias on my phone, hand bags... whatever!
and i LOVE real cows too... cant wait til we finally own our little dream small holding and i can have a real one! :D

Thanks MFD, One of my mummy friends has been cultivating a pot of mint on her doorstep especially for tonight!

She's still mega miserable so gave her a bath as that is guaranteed to make her happy and it did until I got her out! Had to give her an expressed feed at lunchtime cos she wouldn't feed from me, she's out for the count now, lets hope she's a bit better when she wakes up.

I've decided I'm going out anyway, why shouldn't Daddy have to put up with her being miserable?

CG I love that you 'phased out' your kitchen decoration, makes throwing stuff out sound almost cool!
