Feelie - is this a new thing? Or a continued manifestation of your old depression? I only ask because I felt abit like that with ds1 as we lived in a rural area and I started to become a recluse due to lack of funds and friends to do stuff with and tbh the only thing that helped was literally making myself go out and mix on a regular basis as the longer I went between social contact the harder it seems to get.

Sorry I can't answer your q about the jabs though - maybe you should phone the drs and ask at least then they might start to take your condition a bit more seriously. Drs do make house calls sometimes but they are not very keen on it.

It was bad in 2005, for almost a year I was unable to leave the house alone. My GP at the time didn't take it seriously, so I wasn't offered any help. I overcame it with gradual exposre and the help of a support group. I was fine while pregnant, had no trouble with all my routine appointments. It was an almost instant thing after the birth though, the anxiety just came back, which was why I was let out of hospital very early, my notes said 'discharged due to mental health issues'.

Its been getting worse and worse since I had the baby. I had to cancel my Pysch appointment because I just couldn't go outside. Luckily she has agreed to a home visit in July, so hopefully she will take it seriously.

I can't even go outside to put things in the bin most days, or open the curtains.

Just got to wait till Pysch appointment, and hope they can help.

she has a virus causing gastroentoritous (sorry for my spelling!) - i've had it too - she gave it to me!!!!! Just a 24hr thing for me, but obviously worse for LO.

we just have to let her ride it out and over the worst now and she's on the mend :D apparently me having it means i can pass her antibodies through my milk :D and help her recover more quickly. I fancy a cuddle and a couple of hours to have a long lie in bed - when do I get a holiday from being a parent???!!!!

I was just thinking today, when I was out walking the dog, that one good thing about going back to work at the end of the year is that I will actually get a THANK YOU:p

I feel like a slave lately...and all that happens is ds1/2 moan if I forget to buy juice, or refuse to buy chocolate:mad: I was tempted to give them both a good clip round the ear the other day...cheeky beggars;) I didn't though:A, although I am starting to think they are quite spoilt:o

r,mac - can you take her to bed with you? I find Izzy will nap for longer if she is in bed with me, so maybe you can get a bit of kip in too? I hope she feels better soon anyway :)

Wow Rmac, that must of been scary! Glad she's on the mend and you're feeling better too!

Scruffy, hope your Dad gets well soon too :)

Caitlyn finally gave in and went to sleep, I even managed to get her into the basket without her waking up and she's had a really good sleep... I managed to have a tidy round in the living room and get some rubbish thrown away before Aimee came home from school.. She's got a friend to play today too, they're currently 'colouring in quietly' not too sure about their idea of quiet! But Caitlyn seems to be sleeping through it OK... I'm ever so tired though, wish I'd had a nap too...

Oh, and my electric pump arrived too... I've had a go of it and managed to get 30ml without even trying... Will be giving it a wash and sterilising it ready to express a bit of milk for Saturday... My Mum is going to babysit so we can go to the cinema... A bit of a trial run for Top Gear... Just watch Caitlyn sleep the whole time and not need a feed...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Scruffy - hope your dad's better soon
Caz - good to hear you sounding more positive and that you have a plan for trying to work things out
Rmac - hope you're both better soon. And holiday from being a parent? I call it work! Get the grandparents recruited as soon as you both feel comfortable, send the baby to them and have a 'stay-cation' at home. (Very MSE) Even after one night you'll feel refreshed and ready to have baby back. In your own time though. Don't think we did this til Imogen was over a year old, SIL left nephew at a few months so it's horses for courses

Imogen's currently upstairs napping following a busy day at craft class and playgroup. DH now has no less than 5 Father's Day cards waiting, 4 of which are covered in excessive amounts of glitter :rotfl:

Oh, and Boots have 20% off some of their baby stuff. Plus I got an e-mail from Paypal saying if you spend £60 at Boots and pay by Paypal you get 10% off. I've just ordered a baby bouncer for LO#2 which was reduced to £55 from nearer £70. MIL gave us some cash for it.

I feel odd. Going to the loo once an hour (which is a new one as I've been fine this pregnancy). Bump seems to be getting progressively lower - DH thinks it's moved again since he's been away. And I'm sitting here on my pilates ball while typing and my dinky is stinging  I'm hoping these are all good signs, but can't remember getting anything like it last time around. Am going to force DH to honour his promise tonight no matter how tired he is (not my fault he was out til 2am!) so keep your fingers crossed. Did I read somewhere that second babies don't engage until labour is pretty close (1st babies can engage weeks before)?
