Also asked when, in his opinion, I could drive again and he said from now.. :D The midwives had said "when your insurance company will cover you again" then insurance company said "we don't need to know you've had a c-section - you can drive when your doctors say you can" It's been a month / 31 days now so think I'll have a practise again tomorrow and bring my car to the hospital so I can start getting out on my own for a while again. Longest I've not driven for before is a week whilst on holiday (too young to drive the hire car! :o) so will practise somewhere quiet first :)
I was driving after 2 weeks with both of mine.
I think it's when you feel comfortable enough to do an emergency stop.

thanks weezl, we have talked a lot this week and think we are going to give it all we can. i have looked into relate etc and waiting for a call about prices etc as we are on benifies at the min so should be able to get some help. fingers crossed OH gets this job he has applied for, girl seemed very optimistic as they have done work for them before:D

i wont lie i am still very hurt and have found myself getting into a panic about the silliest of things esp driving? OH has been helping lots more and seems to know when to step in.

as for the bumbo i would not accept it, thats a lot of money u have paid in good faith. item was not as described so you are entitled to your money back. i buy and sell a lot on ebay and would not sell anything i wouldnt be happy to recive. seller cannot leave you neg feedback anyway with the new rules x

latest dodgy craft idea is that I'm making my own version of these, but on one surface they're going to spell out his name (I'll start with his first name, cos his full name's got 29 characters!) I got some 4 inch thick fire retardant foam yesterday, and I've got some lovely 2nd hand blankets in various ginghamish patterns. One side will be cord and one fleece for 'feel appeal'....

emlou, I think you asked what we did with bubs when we do housework/gardening? Well fergie has his change mat on a shady spot on the lawn and watches me do gardening while I give him a commentry....;)

That is a great craft idea. i'm sure by the time I got around to doing it she would be too old though ;) I bought some wool for 2 knitting projects about 3 months ago and haven't even cast on yet. If I don't get a wiggle on we will be wearing the next winter not this one ;)

Oh, and Izzy loves lying under the trees in my Mum's garden watching the leaves blow in the wind. Unfortunately at the allotment there are no trees to watch, so I have to put her near me with something draped over the car seat to keep her shady while we chat an sing songs - DH is getting really fed up of hearing about the wheels on the bus ;)

according to someone who replied on my thread on the ebay board "most people dont buy second hand things from a stranger for their children" because its "minging second hand kit you dont know the history of"...

Oh, thanks for that... Some people are too paranoid for their own good - ignore them and move on!

CG - sounds like some good luck is in order - good luck!!!!

We're off to visit my Granny this weekend, and i've just started a packing list. I think it might be quicker to list what I'm NOT taking!

Caz - sounds like you have taken a little step forward. Remember that talking it through and trying to sort it out is about exploring all your options...don't feel railroaded into anything just because you are talking about it IYSWIM.

My FIL tends to do all my gardening :o but Benjamin is another big fan of being in the shade outside watching the trees whilst mummy catches some rays

I set up a makeshift tent using my clothes horse and some beach towels :D

I am feeling fine this morning, my back is a little sore but it has been for a while now anyway.

We are going to try out a new Booby Club this afternoon, I feel like a change of scenery :D

Its lovely to hear you sounding more positive Caz! :D
Is this job the one thats down south (although everywhere is down south for you!)? Maybe a new job, new area, & new home could be the new start for you and your family? Leave all the bad feeling up there and start afresh!

Are we in the same school? Our sports day was also us trailing around to watch different 'events' - all very jolly and non-competative!

And its talent show doday too - I'd love to be a fly on the wall to watch these talent shows. DD likes to think shes a drama/dancing/singing star, at the last show her music failed - but she continued her dance, in silence! The head commented on her school report that her performance in the last talent show was 'priceless'! Not sure if thats a good or bad thing. :rotfl: I'm not sure where I got DD from - she's to total opposite to me as a child - I would hardly speak to people so absolutely no chance of me performing on a stage!

Well... not as bad a night as I feared... didn't get to bed till 12:30 though but madam slept through till 5:30 - had bottom change (it was her farting that woke me :rotfl:) and stuck her on the boob next to me in bed - suckled for about 20 mins I guess then nodded off. Was fine till about 8 when I discovered the worlds most effective alarm clock! The sound of a baby vomiting in bed next to you! :)
Her poo is back to normal though so not sure what caused the green poop, but COULD have been the sniffles working its way out of her system I guess - she's a lot less sniffly today and her eye is a lot better too thankfully so hoping she might have a snooze later so I can do some tidying and cleaning...

Also need to get plan for allotment done and order the shed, paving slabs for under the shed and wood for my raised beds...
