Oh, and do they do a nursery diary for each child? Imogen has a book in which they write a little about her day. How much sleep, nappy changes (when she had them), who and what she played with. It's a lovely way to keep in touch with what they're doing.

What about parents' evenings? Do they have them and how often?
Will LO have a key worker?

And take a look at the wall displays. You should be able to see evidence of the Every Child Matters agenda http://www.everychildmatters.gov.uk/ and Early Years Foundation Stage (the curriculum) http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs/ Our nursery has themed displays which show what element of the curriculum they're covering that week. All of the activities will tie in to this somehow.

Oh dear... Popped out for a bit with DH and uhmm... I think somehow I might have agreed that moving house would be a good idea!
Yes ok ok so actually it would be, BUT we're looking at £300k houses!! OMFG!!! Hoping ours is worth around £210/£220k but crikey...
We'd be looking at moving from a 3 bed (well... 2 1/2 bed really) to a 4 bed house, mid terrace to a detatched with garage...
I KNOW we could afford it, but by jolly it's scary!
We've seen a few definite possibilities but not arranged to view any of them yet - however they are coming out to value our house on friday so I have this evening and tomorrow to tidy and clean the place... yikes!
I must be mad I must!

I was told it had a brilliant anti-ageing effect on the skin also! A great multi-purpose medicine!

According to my OH it's a cure for all known ailments. No matter what's wrong with me he "knows a cure for that!" (delivered with a wink!).

El was over at my folks for her tea tonite as it' s fish nite at theirs so she goes with my sisters 2 every wednesday. i got a call from my mum the back of 4 and she sounded concerned I thought El had been hurt but it was my dad he was waiting for the ambulance to come to take him to A&E with another suspected heart attack. So I had to go to my mums and cook tea for the brood!! My dad is being kept in so will wait and see what all the test say.

Thanks Guys :) I'm feeling a bit more relaxed now. Thanks to a good cry on DH, a chocolate bar, and a splash in the big bath with the baby :) The daft thing is that i'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work, I just wish she could come with me ;) I have quite a challenging job, and I keep finding myself talking to Izzy as if she was a client who has just asked me a complicated question. If I carry on like that she will end up working at the tax office or something ;)

I get childcare vouchers (I've already started getting £10 a month of them to build up a few to use while I'm getting her settled in before I go back), but I didn't know you can't claim the childcare element as well - I will have to look into that!

I hope your dad is ok Scruffy!

And Chocca - are you sure you aren't married to my DH? He does that exact same wink and knowing a cure for things. Just when I really could do with some sympathy too. Bloody men ;)

Oh, and thanks for the tip-off on cow print baby clothes - I think a trip to asda is in order :)

money?! (most of the ones I'm looking at publish their prices.. for the other one I'm expecting to get a nasty shock

http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/ will let you search for childcare providers by postcode. It'll show you prices too.
