"Beep bada beep beep, beep bada boo. Beep bada beep beep, beep beep you!
ey! potty mouth... who you swearing at?
theres a childs bike outside! Thanks for the replies re administration of juice. Let's just say I'm sticking to my story on that one :rotfl:
im not having the BJ delivery stories.... that was definitely decided by the same bloke who put around the rumour that its a great cure for a sore throat!
poor bloody women, 9 months pregnant, possibly over due going out of thier minds....what they really need now is to work EVEN harder to pleasure the bloke who put you in this situation in the first place (and is sometimes too scared to help you out by giving the amniotic sac a good prodding!)

Hi all.. Apologies for my ranting earlier
I've just had my first "new mum strop" with OH and told him to get himself away from work early and back here to entertain his mother. She's just txt to say she's coming at 4pm and I can't be doing with her. She formula fed OH and SIL and doesn't understand why I'm "bothering" with expressing - as I said earlier, it's because of his kidney function, not just a self-righteous thing I want to do to look good! She treats me like I'm stupid if I can't answer her questions about Rhys' care and I wasn't here for the ward round so I'm not completely up to speed on things and I'm not in the mood for biting my tongue and trying to be pleasant. I'm so tired I can barely string a sentence together!
Anyway, doc gave me a prescription for Domperidone - fingers crossed for it working now! I think he was just waiting for me to collapse in a heap on his consulting room floor when I told him what had happened in the last five weeks so he just gave me the prescription to shut me upHas given me ten days worth and said I can have more if it's working
Also asked when, in his opinion, I could drive again and he said from now..The midwives had said "when your insurance company will cover you again" then insurance company said "we don't need to know you've had a c-section - you can drive when your doctors say you can" It's been a month / 31 days now so think I'll have a practise again tomorrow and bring my car to the hospital so I can start getting out on my own for a while again. Longest I've not driven for before is a week whilst on holiday (too young to drive the hire car!
) so will practise somewhere quiet first
Rhys is having a hectic afternoon.. He currently has eyes like saucers cos he's got drops in to open his pupils ready for the eye doc to turn up and look at his retinas - something they do to all babies born before 32 weeks. He's also been filmed by the physio department as part of one of their research projects - we've signed up for monitoring for the next two years but it's more for future babies/parents' benefit rather than Rhys'/ours. Now waiting for the dietician to turn up as he's not gaining weight. Also not tolerating his feeds either so they've been decreased - swings and roundabouts!
Right, going to prepare for the decent of the monster-in-law.. wish me luck!
Hope everyone is having a good day xx0 -
good luck with the monster in law ... mybe Rhys is picking up on his mummys stress hope your ok chick dont let her get to you you know whats best for kid ... hugs to Rhys x

I have been told to massage my scars with ky jelly, and they will refer me to gyno if that doesn't work. They keep asking if sex hurts when I've already told them it isn't an option. Bloody Doctors.
Oh, we seem to have the tail end of the storm the rest of you had yesterday - no rain, but I'm not going out on that balcony for fear of blowing away!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Benjamin is now 14lb 6oz and has dropped slightly under the 75th centile line he has been gaining on...possibly because he is a bit more active now or because he is too bl00dy nosy to stay on the breast for too long. Either way I am still happy with his weight gain and his sleeping.
All his 3-6 month vests and sleepsuits are getting too small so I will be shopping again this weekend
Elle - monster-in-law - LOL
I have been meaning to show you these breastfeeding dolls for ages...bloody expensive but might be a good baby present for toddlers?
I have seen them 'in the flesh' so to speak and they are very cute!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
This reference was pages ago but I've only just remembered to reply. And I'm b0ggered if I can remember who put it,
"Beep bada beep beep, beep bada boo. Beep bada beep beep, beep beep you!
"And we all feel better for that!"
(You need to watch Milkshake if you're confused. The Beep Tree really is a cool invention, if a bit useless!)

Oh and what I actually came on here to say was that I've managed to take my head out of the sand and actually make a few appointments to visit nurseries. Seeing as that lottery win in between now and September is looking increasingly unlikely, and I have no wish to have our house reposessed I'm really going to have to find somewhere to put baby while I'm at work. I'm sure they would notice if I kept her under my desk
I'm starting to think of things I should be asking. What I have so far:
do they do baby signing?
baby will only feed from a cup, not a bottle, so will need help - will they do it? (I'm sure they will look at me like I'm barmy for even asking, but I do worry)
baby will only nap if on the boob, in the buggy or in the car - would someone push her round the block or just let her stay awake all day? (hopefuly we will have sorted this by september, but just in case!)
do they provide food or do we need to send her in with a packed lunch/tea/drinks/snacks? how much is food if they don't provide it? what times are mealtimes?
how many kids per carers?
money?! (most of the ones I'm looking at publish their prices.. for the other one I'm expecting to get a nasty shock!)
I know I need to know tons of other things - I am sure they will show me play facilities and tell me all about what fun Izzy will be having while I'm slaving away, but there will be other things they won't tell me.
The whole idea makes me feel sick and now I've made myself cry again. How on earth am I going to get through my first few days at work?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Ladybird - I'd also ask what qualifications the staff in your room have. And how long the room supervisor has been there. The main problem I find with nurseries is underqualified staff and high staff turn over. I'll have a think if there is anything else you should ask. Back when I worked, I was a nursery nurse. Don't worry about nursery - using childcare as a resource isn't a bad thing. As long as you are delighted when you pick the little lady up and ask about her day when she is a bit bigger, it'll be a positive thing for her, and hopefully for you.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Katvig
Molo

idaT
Ej sikke lej
Smafolk
Sweet Peanut
Snoozy
You'd all think I'm mad, the amount I spend on Tobys clothes.
This is what he is wearing today:
