MFD is a common problem in new runners to be tense in ur shoulders and therefore be sore after a race ;)

    oops forgot to say..
    :T WELL DONE!!! :T

What a day! ARGH! My milk production seems to have dropped today (probably because I've been stressed last few days :( ) and to add to that (and Roo's green poo :( ) she's vomited up milk twice - not the whole feed but it's meant there is now no spare milk in the fridge as once she's yacked up she's immediately demanded more milk... now the boobies are empty and we're outta milk! Yikes!
Let's home the fact she's been latched on several times will increase the milk production for the night... otherwise I fear we're in for a horrendous night with no sleep when she wants her 5 am feed!

Also asked when, in his opinion, I could drive again and he said from now.. :D The midwives had said "when your insurance company will cover you again" then insurance company said "we don't need to know you've had a c-section - you can drive when your doctors say you can" It's been a month / 31 days now so think I'll have a practise again tomorrow and bring my car to the hospital so I can start getting out on my own for a while again. Longest I've not driven for before is a week whilst on holiday (too young to drive the hire car! :o) so will practise somewhere quiet first :)
The main thing is that you can do an emergency stop without flinching. Check you can before you have to! :rotfl:

When I wasn't allowed to drive for a few months, the MOST weird thing was just being in the car on my own.

Nursery questions: if you really want to see how up to speed a nursery is with its policies, ask what their policy on taking photos says. ;) I know someone who runs a small chain of nurseries and the other day she said she'd amended her policy already to say that photos could only be taken on the 'work' camera, not on personal cameras, and not on staff phones. Apparently Ofsted encourages the use of photographic evidence to show a child's development, and when that first started most of her staff were using their camera phones because the nursery didn't have a digital camera. Well, they do now, and that's the only camera to be used!

I hope that doesn't set anyone off again, it's not my intention ...

Ta Sue, will add that one to the list too - I will have an a4 sheet at this rate :)

Well done MFD, and I hope you got some sleep MrsT

I'm up and about already this morning. DH said he needs to be at work for 8am, so we have to get up at 6:30m and guess who is still in bed. (I'll give you a clue, it's not Iggle Piggle ;) ) And typical this is on the day where baby is still asleep - am going to have to wake her up to get her dressed and fed before we go out - at least she will go back off in the car with any luck!

Mrs Tine I hope you slept ok :)

ladybird, glad you feel better about the nursery thing now :D

caz, how are things with you and OH now? Thinking of you...

emlou, sorry about the bumbo  erm..... can you customise it at all on the bits that are discoloured? Seth could be the proud owner of an 'outer space' themed bumbo? One of a kind! But you know me, always up for the dodgy home-made alternative! DH fears that with me as a mum fergie's gonna be like marcus from 'about a boy' :rotfl:

latest dodgy craft idea is that I'm making my own version of these, but on one surface they're going to spell out his name (I'll start with his first name, cos his full name's got 29 characters!) I got some 4 inch thick fire retardant foam yesterday, and I've got some lovely 2nd hand blankets in various ginghamish patterns. One side will be cord and one fleece for 'feel appeal'....

nice weather here in cardiff, so going to set a few more seed trays, basil is doing well, so I look forward to homemade pesto- nomnomnom :)

    emlou
, I think you asked what we did with bubs when we do housework/gardening? Well fergie has his change mat on a shady spot on the lawn and watches me do gardening while I give him a commentry....

Becles - would the boys be happy to share a room so Charlotte could have a bigger one? maybe have her little room as a boys only play room to soften the blow?

I think World War 3 would happen if I suggested that :D

Thanks for the Ikea link. I might go and have a look at those as there's an Ikea nearby but not a Dreams store.

    well done MFD!

took your advice thanks sami and becles, i posted on the ebay board, but apparantly they do get discoloured anyway so i may as well keep it *sigh* will email the seller though. i wonder if theres something baby safe i can spray or paint it with?
 she says looking at weezl who is the foundation of all such knowledge and bound to know such a thing!!

becles, have you got a ikea near you that you could go to for inspiration? i went to our local one recently and found it was full of tiny box room type "rooms" that actually looked really big because of what they have done with them. they are the kings of space saving!
the best one was a "studio flat" the size of my lounge, there was more room to move around than the whole of my flat put together!!
