Tine, was she not at the GP for a bit of a cold? When mine got/get colds and are very snotty they get the runs. Mind and get some nappy rash cream in just in case (I use it for DS2 if he has the runs, try to prevent the nappy rash before it starts).

She has "the sniffles" as the GP called it - yes :)
I guess it could be making her bowels more active
We have the mother of all sudocrem tubs, kamilosan and savlon, not to mention vaseline - so far her bottom looks fine and 20-30 mins a day without a nappy on with frash air circulating round her tush seems to work so will carry on with that for now :) But we have the lotions and potion on standby! :D

Lu T - I can't even remember the last time I had any fun with DH... he flipped about having sex with his baby daughter in there *sigh* - highly intelligent bloke, knows he wouldn't hurt the baby, but could NOT get in the mood to do it with her in there... freaked him totally!
And I am guessing we're looking at another 2-3 weeks before I am "matchfit" again if not longer... cut and 2nd degree tear means no matter HOW much I want it he's not willing to risk damaging any of the stitches lol
Oh and my DH is an odd person... he doesn't like getting BJs sso not even like I can tempt him with that! grrrrrr
Once Roo was overdue I tried EVERYTHING to get him interested - threats, promises and what have you - but he was having none of it! Selfish !!!!!!! :rotfl:

  • Thanks for advice about boobies.

Is it too early for teething? We've had a few fussy days and he has a small white gump on his gum. Looks just like a tooth poking through, but he is only 2 months!

its never too early (or too late) for teeth,
    they come when they want...

of course due to the excessive dribbling, the gnawing and other teething signs we were convinced DDs first tooth was coming "any day now" from about 3 months onwards... i think it finally broke through at 7 months!

Wonder what else the lump could be? I'll get HV to take a look tomorrow when she comes to weigh him. Desperate for him to be weighed, breastfeeding is stressful! I need to know he is getting enough.

it will be a tooth hun, like i said... they come when they want!
it might break through tomorrow, it might break through in three months... but its still a toothy peg!

does he look healthy to you? is he regularly wetting and soiling nappies? cos if so he is probably doing better than you think, dont dispair if the weight isnt the number you hoped for...
babies are funny things, they havent read all the baby books we have read, they dont know all the stats and they couldnt care less about percentiles!

but what they do know is how to drive us up the wall with worry
    (thats thier job!)

Lots of wet and dirty nappies.

He seems fine, just a bit grumbly. He wants to be held and nursed all the time. Luckily I'm good at typing one handed! Means I get to have a takeaway tonight, no way little is going to let me cook!

I'll be happy if he has gained any amount. I'm just worried he isn't getting anything, but I'm sure he'd let me know if I was starving him!

Sorry about your house problems. We are looking at the moment but haven't found anything good enough. I do get fed up of the state of this place and want to move. I'll keep my fingers crossed you find the perfect house soon.
