    hi all,

feelie - the milk is getting there as I was getting 10ml in total, and am now getting 40ml. i am disappointed that it is still only a small amount, but when i look it has increased four fold I shouldn't complain. would just love to get it to 150ml, but i am not sure that is possible.

savysue - thanks for the link. i had the DWP one already bookmarked. i knew before i went on maternity leave that she had the wrong end of the stick but with everything that was going on, i didn't have the energy for a fight.

mfd - i feel like telling her exactly that. i know she is a partner but if you get rid of the practice manager (like they did a few years ago) then get up to speed with additional roles you take on.

mrstine - she was checked for a tongue tie at the hospital as i remember someone saying they thought she had one but then another person checked and she didn't.

i have a busy few days, getting baby girl (that is what i call her :-) ) weighed, wednesday is 12 injections and thursday is appraisal.
    xx

won an avent Isis electric pump for £19 earlier which I'm quite pleased about, I can use the disposable system and express directly into the bags now... Although the measurements on the bags aren't great I noticed this morning, I poured 1oz in but it came up to the 2oz line on the bag... Still, I don't suppose it matters much, it's not like I measure what she has normally...

I've sorted my ironing into 2 piles this evening, tomorrow I will count up how many items of adult clothing are in the pile and then call domestic goddess ironing service to come and collect them... I finally admit defeat...

Pumps - As Sami said earlier I have the Medela Swing system and I like it :) I bought it from Toys'R'Us - it's probably the most expensive place to get it from but we bought it the day I left hospital and there were no alternative shops between the hospital and our house and I couldn't face going into the centre of Oxford with a newborn baby!
I like the range of alternative cups etc for the medela swing and they seem reasonably priced too which is important :)

Well done AF, it sounds like things are going in the right direction :)

Well after sleeping all evening yesterday, Caitlyn's gone the other way now... Been feeding and pretending to drop off but as soon as the nipple leaves her mouth she's wide awake... Hubby gave her a cuddle and a back pat and she looked asleep, as soon as I went to put her in the crib she's shuffling and grunting... Ok, so just as I finished writing that she did a huuuuge pooh and has now gone quiet and still... Great... Got to disturb her to change her now...

AF - I think I'm right in saying that you naturally make more milk at night, something to do with hormone levels so its possibly best to express a more at night (although not the most practical solution)

Krystal, why do they always settle after a poop? Edgar hates having his nappy changed and is wide awake for ages after

SM - well done missus :D I've got some breast shells on the way so I reckon from the amount of breast pads I soak while feeding I'll get a few ounces without the effort of pumping which I hate (just reminds me of the bad time I had with chris)
