Was sat at the PC and baby started sucking my top. Did what I always do when he shows an interest in sucking, and I tried him at the breast.

After a few attempts, he latched on! He fed for 37 minutes! Came off twice, but went straight back on.

When he came off the first time, he sneezed, and loads of milk came out of his nose, so he must have been getting some!

He fell asleep on me, and is dozing now.

I can count the number of times he has fed on one hand, and today was the most successful!

Sami - your photos are brilliant :0)

Choca - I don't think you're silly for wanting to discuss your birth notes with the hospital, and I'm sure they wouldn't either. Sounds like it was all quite dramatic, and you are perfectly normal wanting to understand it all. Go for it!!

AM - good luck for the party, although I'm sure it will all be all over by the time you read this! (and your piccies is fab too - what a roud big brother!)

Feelie - that's great news, say well done to bubs from me and Izzy :) Before you know it he will be trying to latch himself onto grandad with the best of them ;)

Caz - I started off typing that I don't really have anything useful to add, then I typed you a short essay below. Which may or may not be useful but have some more ~hugs~ anyway. It sounds like talking things through with your dad (and us I expect!) will help you to work out what you want. Although you have to think about the kids too, you have to decide what YOU want too. They would probably be better off with a happy (busy!!!) mummy than living in a war zone. But if you both want to make it work then it doesn't have to be a warzone . If you are prepared to try and get things to work then relate might be an idea? It sounds like if it is going to work you both need to get everything out of your system, talk through what you both want and agree on some ground rules you can both work to.

Re the PND, if HV was no help then can you ask to see a different one? If not please call up Monday morning to see your GP instead!

After seeing all of your lovely photos I have to join in with one of my own http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2326301&l=30b73559a0&id=563301573. She is so much bigger and more grown-up-looking than that now and that was only about 5 weeks ago, so I will get my camera out later/tomorrow and show you what she looks like now :)

  • can you request your birth notes even if you have no real reason for wanting to see them?
and how do you go about it?

I would imagine so - data protection act says you have to be given access to any records held about you if you ask, and I assume that includes medical records. I would think that wanting to see them was a good enough reason to want to see them though CG!

    Hi All

Had a lovely day, spent a couple of hours at the park then strolled into town...I was going to buy Kai some PJ's but didn't see any I liked, so that will have to wait. Ds2 also needed shoes but will have to go to Clarks as hey had barely any in his size that looked sturdy enough!

For those of you with school age kiddies....Asda have got some great deals on school uniforms:) packs of two polo shirts or shirts are 2 packs for £3, trousers are 2 pairs for £5, they did have a few other bits cheap too but that's all I needed so didn't really look about too much.

More hugs to Caz, and big congrats to Feeli and Toby.

    Mel x
