thats prob why shes so nosey! there is only 2lb difference in weight but poor wee man is double of his dad lolWhat's for you won't go past you0

Tried feeding him a couple of times. We spent a few hours in bed the other day, lots of skin to skin. Only problem was he wouldn't even face me! He kept rolling over and looking away, then giving me a really cheeky grin - its as if he knew what he was doing!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Public feeding - i'll do it anywhere! ...he thought I was nuts to answer the door to the postman with baby still attached. I don't even think the postie noticed.
Maybe its because i'm old and on my third.
I do it anywhere and its my first...
...but I am old :rotfl:
Answering the door with breast-pump in hand seemed to deter the jehovas witnesses from stopping to chat
Feelie - hope the HV was of some use. Mine is nice but a bit drippy!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Feeli I agree with the others...8oz!!!! Kai has only just started going over the 6oz mark in the last few days, there is no way he would be able to fit 8oz in his teeny tum.........
I am glad it is not just Kai being an eager beaver. I think he is just too nosey for his own good, he has very little strength in his leg sthough...if I stand him up he just buckles at the knees!!! I have one of those door bouncers too, it is a good one the material comes right up to his chest both front and back...no chance of toppling out.
Kai was born sunday eve and I did the school run tuesday morning, although it definitely isn't a competition, my friend didn't leave the house for over a week...I kind of wished I could of had that luxury:D

PersevereHer madamship pulls the cheeky grin face all the time (yes I know it's wind
) but especially when she's being a little toad...
Try rubbing a little milk on the boob first so he can smell it and express a little in his mouth if you can get him to face the right wayMight get him to cotton on

As for BFing in public... if I have to I will
heck blokes always stare at my chest when it's covered over as it is and I'm sure that a terry cloth can cover most of the boob

Online, all the things I've read seem to suggest that a BF baby should have around 750-900ml a day. The amount shouldn't increase from 1 month to 6 months, just the composition of the milk.
HV says he should have 2.5 oz per lb of body weight, which at the moment works out at 29oz (about 825ml).
DS drinks 1200ml a day, little and often.
HV says I should try and get him to take 8oz at a time, internet tells me I'm overfeeding him.
He is sticking pretty close to 50th Centile on the Formula based growth chart in my red book.
Your son is obviously thriving, you are doing a great job, just go with the flow hun, all babies are different.
I was in work yesterday and one of the resident's grandaughter bought her 4 week old little girl is (omg i could of cried) anyway, she is on 1oz more milk at feeds than Ryan is, yet my son weighs a ton! and seems to be growing by around 1lb a week for the last 4 weeks.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
How big is he now AM? Toby weighed in at 11lb 10oz today!
Oh, and after deciding to go onto formula, I've decided to stick with pumping for a while longer. I'm picking up a hospital grade double pump tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Just need an extra 200ml a day, and can cut out all formula. Fingers crossed. He has had 4 formula feeds so far, so not done too badly.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
