I've had really mixed results taking vouchers to Tesco. My nearest store moaned about it as I mentioned earlier. However my mum's store, which is a new branch about about 300 yards from a Sainsburys, will take anything, no questions asked - at least they have done lately. I got £3.50-ish off a £13 shop, and £3 off a £12 shop. Most of this was coupons from the Sainsbury's magazine.

Perhaps this is store policy, or maybe I've been lucky, but it may be significant that the Tesco near my mum is in fierce competition with Sainsburys.

I also try to pick checkouts with younger people on as the older women tend to be a bit more jobsworth about taking vouchers for things you haven't bought.

Tried to use vouchers in Asda and Morrisons but had no luck with either.

my local tesco will take coupons from sainsbury mag as well even if they are for sainsburys own brand products.

If anyone's looking for high-value vouchers to print off to use under Safeways' "6 coupons per manufacturer" policy go to http://www.mumplusone.com/site/page.php?p=1

In the health and beauty section they've got a £2 Durex voucher ::)
I'm just off to use it this morning. Somehow I don't think they'll try to tell me they don't stock Durex ;D

I wasn't saying men don't work in supermarkets, but in my (perhaps limited) experience, older women tend to be more picky about coupons! Bear in mind I'm a woman so not trying to wind anyone up. :)
  • Hi there, I am new to the money saving site so hello everyone!

I've been printing off coupons from the homesolutions website but the barcodes are completely black - my mum's computer prints them off perfectly so it is very odd. Any advice as to what I'm doing wrong? Obviously I can't keep printing off coupons as the site only allows a certain amount at a time. hope someone can help!

    thanks,
    Catherine
