    I love these arguements - if you think it is unfair/cruel/sneaky/etc dont fly with them, fly with someone else,

    I will pay £80 return all in with RyanAir, rather than £120 for BA - to me money saving is getting it for cheapest - if I wasnt money saving I may think that the difference in BA is worth the £40. But, I am on a moneysaving board so will go with £80

    * fictious pricing
    Just one thing, who would you think would be more likely to get you home or your destination if a flight gets canceled. See, sometimes money saving is not always about saving money.
    The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    As for punctuality, there has been research done that shows RA add on average 15 minutes to the time that most other airlines add to the time that a particular journey takes. that is how they manage to be so punctual. And as for price, i can often find prices much cheaper with other airlines, even legacy ones, for my specific needs. I.E. 2 people traveling with 2 pieces of luggage each for a 2 week holiday to a place that most holiday makers actualy want to go to.
    I will not argue about price as this is very dependent on which destination and dates you are travelling.
    But, when it comes to punctuality Ryanair definitely wins... So what if they add 15 minutes to the flight time. The whole thing about punctuality is to reach the destination on time (OR earlier). If that is accomplishd by adding 15 minutes to the flight time they are still OK. Better 15 minutes early 10 times than 30 minutes late on time...

    And it allows Ryanair to depart at the advertised time and to arrive at/before the advertised time. That's excellent customer service - when I choose a flight, I want it to depart on time and arrive on time or earlier. I don't care if Ryanair add on 15 minutes to the actual flight time - better to be conservative with flight times and actually to stick to them. I mean, you're actually trying to criticise an airline for sticking to their schedule here!

    Ryanair are actually very sensible with being conservative with flight times - you can't predict delays/wind conditions/etc, but by allowing time to be built into the schedule, it allows them to make time up throughout the day if a plane is delayed first thing in the morning. With unrealistic schedules such as BA/AF - they don't have this flexibility, and thus you end up getting flights cancelled when they end up hopelessly delayed.
    And as for price, i can often find prices much cheaper with other airlines, even legacy ones, for my specific needs. I.E. 2 people traveling with 2 pieces of luggage each for a 2 week holiday to a place that most holiday makers actualy want to go to.
    And this is the nature of Ryanair. Equally so, legacy carriers can be ridiculously expensive. I found one comparison not that long ago on a LGW-MAD flight. Ryanair were charging 60 pounds for the flight and one piece of luggage. Iberia were charging 600 pounds for a flight at a similar time. It really is a no brainer to fly Ryanair in such circumstances.

    that's really annoying having to fork out all the extra money. However if you're going away for 2 weeks you can always print out both sets of boarding cards (outward and return) before you go or, if you're going away for longer you 'll just have to try and find an internet cafe and print them out there by putting in your confirmation details on the ryanair website.
