I'm not sure if you're including me in the above, but I'll just point out that I'm not sticking up for anyone - I'm simply exercising my right to choose to pay my money to whichever company I wish.
When you're paying for my flights, you can book me on whichever airline suits you.

Oooohhhhh.......sumone got out of wrong side of bed this am.........

Ryanair have revoltionised "low cost" travel.................they have approximately 50% of their seats at the very cheap promo prices.....................ONLY ever buy those...........end of..................think before you buy, plan ahead.............and DONT pay all there extra fees................simple.....................live with it!

    :D

    :T

  • I will fly with whoever I can get the cheapest flight with but the last time I tried to book with RyanAir with only hand luggage and an infant, it forced me to pay for airport check-in, so I used another airline. There was no way around it, I assume the same rule still applies now? To me this is wrong as you are not allowed to book a extra seat for an infant so you would be forced to pay the £40 regardless.

If you want to talk about 'scum', perhaps you should look into some of the past antics of BA before criticising Ryanair?

I'm also sure that O'Leary is actually capable of spelling, too.

Let me ask you a question scottalot. Have you ever flown with Ryanair?

This is the one I would like an answer to too. Is there any way of avoiding the £40 airport check-in if you have hold luggage? I am thinking of Christmas flights with presents and stuff.....

The idea is that airport checkin will be abolished by the end of the year, meaning that all checkins will be done online.

You can now check in online and still put bags in the hold. You'll pay for the bags, but there's no need to pay for airport check-in.

  • I'm flying with Ryanair to Reus on Saturday and after checking my documents was suprised to find that there were two debit card charges of £10 applied. As I only made one transaction is this actually legal or have I missed something?

The transaction fee is paid per person per sector (£10 is for a return). It is clearly explained during the booking process.

Why do people still use debit/ credit cards?
    Gone ... or have I?
  • I'm sure people still use credit / debits as that is the only way to pay. However the point I am trying to make is that for one transaction I have been charged four times.
I can understand the apparent need to pass the card fee charge on but fail to see why it has to be vastly in excess of the the true cost and why they need it for every sector every passenger flys.
