More than likely you already have a Dual LNB for Sky.
I've already answered your channel query in the previous post, but basically it's BBC HD for now.
ive replied to your answer, cheers. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
How soon will it be before the likes of ITV and Channel4 go HD on freesat?
also is there a likelyhood that lots more channels will also go HD on freesat. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
ive been on the site, thanks, but i have clicked the 'whats on in HD' and it only shows BBC
Because that's all there is at present (if you don't count ITV).
If you want a greater range of HD immediately then you have to go to Sky+ HD back on subscription. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
BBC HD has improves considerable the last 6 months, it has expanded, granted it still isnt a full time channel. Some BBC1 programs are shown at same time on BBC HD, like Reginald Perrin
ITV HD isnt a channel as such. You go and watch on program and a red dot appears so you press the red button on the remote and you get the program in HD takes about 2 seconds. Usually its a film and there is only one or two a week
There is a 3rd HD channel on known freesat ,mode on the humax, its mainly art, but the quality is slightly better than bbc hd as they use a more efficent encoder so I hear, but BBC HD is stunning anyhow0 -
As above said, ITV is not live with HD yet on Freesat.
ITV HD is only on Freesat at the moment (as a red button channel) although Sky boxes with the new EPG can access it via a workaround. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Last year I bought the SKY 6 months thingy from Dixons for £67.5 after discount.
I got the dish installation and a SKY box and SKY channels etc for six months at no extra cost.
After the 6 months was up I got to keep the dish and the box and now get most of the freesat channels, probably not but certainly all I need.
I think SKY are doing a similar deal now or were, not sure of the price, but keeping the dish and box were great for me.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

Hi,
We've got Sky multi-room at the moment, which we are intending to keep, that plays to our TV in the lounge and to a TV in a bedroom. We have also just bought a new TV to go in another room and tried various digi senders, but the reception on all were not good.
Could we get Freesat to feed off our sky dish when we still have a sky subscription? All we really want the second TV for is CBeebies etc!
Not sure if it's important but we don't have an aerial.
Thanks for reading0 -
Choice of boxes for Freesat HD is very easy - there are only 2! There's a Humax HD box, and an HDR plus, which can record. I have the HDR and would highly recommend it, especially since it's down to £250, less than a year's Sky HD subscription. As above, the only way to get ITVHD officially is through FreesatHD. Channel4HD is bound to follow, but I think there's an exclusivity contract with Sky that has to be completed first.0
