Are you talking about Freesat from BBC/ITV, or Freesat from Sky? Two different things.
No, you can use your existing Sky dish and LNB. You need a Freesat digibox.
Of course this assumes you are out of contract with Sky.

ive just cancelled my subscription with sky, so i have one month viewing left.

i have a HD tv but do not want to pay Skys HD costs for a HD box.

it looks like Freesat is the way to go to get BBC andITV channels in HD for free.

i need a recomendation for a Freesat digi box please something along the lines of under £100.

so i can use the Sky sayt dish to get freesat, I will not have to reposition it will i??

There is very little HD content on BBC/ITV Freesat at present. ITV HD is not even a full channel.
You didn't say you wanted HD, I don't think you 'll get an HD digibox for that little. Have a look at the Richer Sounds site, they do the Foxsat HD for £120.
If you want a Freesat box with PVR then go for the Humax Foxsat HDR at about £250.
No, you shouldn't need to realign your dish. You will need a dual LNB on your existing dish (may be fitted already) to provide the two feeds to the Freesat box.

Do i need a duel LNB even if i remove the sky box.

ive had a quick look on argos website and found a Bush Freesat box for £92 but the reviews ive read on the web are not very good. i dont mind paying a little extra for the HD box, up to £120 seems ok.

As above said, ITV is not live with HD yet on Freesat,

what HD channels on Freesat are available at the moment.

You need a dual LNB to feed two channels. Without it you cannot view one and record another.
I wouldn't even consider the Bush. The Humax is a much better interface, the difference is less than £30.

thanks for that, Im not interested in the more expensive ones that record channels at this moment, to be perfectly honest i dont have time to record and watch later.

just read up on the Humax one and it seems ok.

im interested in what channels i can get in HD on freesat.

More than likely you already have a Dual LNB for Sky.
I've already answered your channel query in the previous post, but basically it's BBC HD for now.
