FAST 4 CONNECTION DIARY 2
Comments
-
I signed up for Fast4 a week ago. Was unable to connect at all this afternoon. Luckily I had not cancelled my Freeserve Anytime account so used that. It was then I found an email to say that I had been on for longer than I should. I and my family do use the internet a great deal, 10+ hours a day, but I thought unlimited access meant just that, after all I have used Freeserve (Wanadoo) for 3 years at least with no problems.
Also it seems the only way to contact them is via the dreaded 0870 number.
I intend writing to them, to trading standards and as a last resort threaten them with the small claims court.
Will post again to say what happens.
Not happy at all with this, would not reccomend them!!!0 -
It does seem that FAST4 say one thing (unlimited 24/7) and do another. It would appear that their treatment of high users is heavy handed and the fact that they give no warning is just not good enough. I must admit that I am only a medium user, but would be extremely upset if I was just cut off without as much as a warning, but then how can they if they advertise their service as unlimited. Fast 4, you will start to lose customers by the bucket load !!!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

They had a complaint upheld against them by the Advertising Standards Authority last year.

There have been a few enquiries about Fast 4 service again, so thought I would bring this "Diary" back up. Service has been A1 of late, absolutely no problems. https://www.fast4.net"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Hi there, sorry to hear this. Have you tried e-mailing them? If you like send me your sign-up name and I will send them an e-mail from the members area. I never had a problem, did they say when you would be on line ? You can also phone them and speak to customer services on 0870 225 1055. The technical supposrt line is 50p per minute (0906 304 0904) so try e-mailing and the other number first. Hope you get it sorted, as I am sure you will. In the meantime, if you have not got an ISP and are signed up to 1899, send me a pm and I will give you a dial-up numberwhich should only cost you 3p per session.rabialiones wrote:decided to be brave and signed up yesterday am,

The problem may be that you do not have a standard BT residential line. Apparently Fast4 only accept customers who have a BT line, obviously because that is the company they rent the access from.rabialiones wrote:decided to be brave and signed up yesterday am,
