Seems to have been a modem problem, probably zapped by the storms through the phone line, as i had all sorts of trouble trying to connect to other isp's.
Anyway,tried a spare usb modem and got an instant 46.6kbps connection on fast4.

I believe there must have been a problem at Fast 4 as well, because my speeds are back up to 53,333bps and have been for a few days now.

No problems at all lately! Even during the evenings have been able to log on OK. Maybe the dial-up users are all migrating to BB !!!

Well, so did I but almost eversince I signed up weeks ago and so wrote to cancel. Beware - I paid with debit card and FAST4 ignored my letter and took 2 more payments from me. Had to cancel card to get them to stop. Nothing but trouble with Fast 4 and email - what email - never managed to get into them........... Fast4 brought "stuff" with it and it has just cost £30 to get rid of it. So I am very disillusioned and returned to Wanadoo. Nice people there.

try BB you will never go back to dial up ntl is only 9.99 per month 1MB for a year if you can get ntl,

Why should we switch when we have no problems getting connected first time every time for only £6-99 a month unlimited.

Broadband may load the pages faster but YOU can`t read them any faster.
Maybe you just look at pictures.

We thought you had retired Pingy!! 1. Can't get NTL and anyway from what I've read on here they are C**P, so wouldn't consider them. 2, There are other deals for £10 per month, but do not wish to tie up for 1 year. Quite happy at present, and the more you encourage to go to BB the better the service from FAST 4 becomes. And I am still only paying £5 per month !!!

pages load faster so while you still waiting for them to load i have already read them

anyway everything is faster and sound/picture/video quality is brilliant but that is too hard for you to understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

suppose its not too bad then £5 a month and if you only use the net for surfing email etc....
