I was at Bluewater got there at 8.15 only 3 people queuing ahead of me and a chap sitting nearby, the lady in front said he was in front of her, all friendly until 8.45 lots turned up including 3 people who joined the Very Front of the queue:mad:! They said they had been there since 6.30 and went to the toilet( i never saw them at all) and was with the chap who had been sitting nearby. He said they were with him even though they did not stand with him or talk to him except inital we are with you aren't we!Another woman joined in behind me again said she was waiting just a bit over there .No security Eventually they did come 09.00 and after initally saying we have nothing to do with it it is up to M&S. they did speak to M&S staff who couldn't have cared less!M & S security finally came out at 09.15 they said oh well we did see them earlier (did not mention what time) and you will be in shortly & if the arguements continue they would stop the people who were complaining from going in NOT the queue jumpers :mad:The 2 girls who had been there since 07.30 and were the start of the queue were gobsmacked! The woman then had her picture taken and was handed something (probably now a voucher to spend in store:eek: like some of the other people have said. Cheek of some people!!!
Anyway the queue when I came out was horrendous .

I was happy i got my scarf, cufflinks ,tie, knickers black ones in my size and cream purse you were given a bag and had to tell the staff what you wanted they put the items in the bag.

There are 5 different jewellery sets so you can get one of each. You just can't get two of the same thing.
In my M&S (the big store in Reading town centre) they were definite that you could only have one jewellery set in total. To be honest there was only one that I would be likely to wear so I guess it didn't make much difference to me!

I went into the Llandudno store just after 9am and there was a massive queue stretching right around the shop floor. I couldn't be bothered standing in line for an hour for the priveledge of buying some cheap tat like a beach ball or a frisbee even if was only 1p. Given that everything appeared to be plastered in M&S advertising I think that they should just hand stuff out free to anyone walking through the door.
The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us
Baby we were born to walk

    Hi Everyone,

Did anyone manage to get to the Liverpool one today? Is it worth me going?

    Thanks
  • Went to the M&S store in Leeds city centre in my lunch hour. Just as I was walking through the door a man walked passed with his mobile to his ear telling someone that "its finished". Assumed he meant the penny bazaar but went further into the store to see if it had finished. Was surprised to find out that the penny bazaar is actually only taking place from a small old wooden style market stall at the front of the store, which actually wasn't much bigger than my desk at work and that once it was empty then it was over. I can only assume that as it started at 9 am it would definitely have been over by 10am. Come on M&S not all of us can go shopping at 9am, we have to work and can only go and look in the sales or special events at lunchtime. It should have been staggered across the day to give everyone a chance.

Has anyone been to the large store at Finsbury Pavement, near Moorgate station in London? The store opens at 7am and it's near my work so I was thinking of going tomorrow - I was wondering if there was a queue this morning and what time people started arriving? I'm not sure I can face getting there before 7am!

Got up half hr early to brave the madness. Bad mistake as ds1 decided(being a male) that he does not wait...so gave up as he was driving everyone NUTS. Not sure I can be bothered to try again tomorrow, but good luck to those of you who do :)
